the of the x-knight breaked to easy in the first gently crash. there was no delamination.... there is something wrong with the framedesign; i wont replace the arm, i will buy another frame.
the rotorama spirit is a nice choice from the „past“ with replaceable arms, i will look for a unibody frame. https://intofpv.com/t-bad-framedesign-be...4%E2%80%9C

its the betafpv 20a esc-fc aio 25,5mmx25,5mm, but i like the hglrc zeus aio which is in the hyperbola up to 6s and solid 35a.

Good to know about the x-knight frame; I thought it looked a little "flimsy". I will take this one off my list. I have a set of Micro Alien 3" arms that I may attach to a custom center plate; that way I can get the design that I like, with spacing set up for the precise configuration that I want...will be more work, but likely worth it.

i like the gatehunter x frame:
it has splitarms with a very unique toughtfull design. its just a free design, you would need to order it from a cnc-company, or find one of the very rare sellers which did this for you with dave_c opensource design.

Thanks Hugnosed, that might be just the thing. Looks like this could be a really good starting point. High Five Cool

not the hyperbola 4s 3150kv.
6s motor version xy2204 1950kv on a homemade build, not the pnp.
he told about an issue with the 6s motor in the video description? anyway the performence looks pretty decent xD

another build with these motors but in 4s 3150kv version, displays more the efficiency flighttime performance;

i flew the hyperbola pnp today, its very very nimble like my fastest micros or even more?!? as there is less mass on a big propsurface, there is never a feelable momentum you have to carry by stickmoveements, it turns allways simular. awesome.
topspeed is ok but its not record breaker.
power of the motors is awesome.
it need some tuning.

surprising was the noise in the air, its the most silent 5inch!
a bee could beat it xD crazy silent.
it will probably the fastest quad with friendly-noise, no one would be scared by the sound.

Hi hugnosed,

Am I reading that right? Are you getting over 19 minutes fly time??  Cool

What motors are  you running??

that video isnt me, the build in the video have the brotherhobby vy2204 3150kv motors and if i remember well also the hglrc zeus aio, only a close build to the hyperbola pnp.

i got 3-4minutes out of an 4s 850mah, on a bad tune, it will probably grow up. a buddy had 5min flighttime a simular build, but with the 6s motor version 1950kv. he got 5min out of a 600mah 6s. a value for throttle intense flights.
it can be less efficiency ;-)

i didnt watch the full 20min but yes seems 19minutes slow flighttime

I went out today and got my best fly time (ever) with my custom build Phantom-3A; 9 minutes 15 seconds Cool . I have not yet posted this build, but maybe I should Thinking . This quad is a 3 inch propped quad based on the GEPRC Phantom frame. I am waiting on parts to easily convert a standard GEPRC Phantom from 2.5 inch to 3 inch (without extending the arms or making any complicated changes); something that could be done by anyone Wink . The Phantom-3A is the pre-cursor to that conversion.   Big Grin

every motor have an area where it give the best efficiency, as you are looking for flighttimes, 3,5inch or 4inch could be even more efficiency? but 9minutes is pretty nice!!
waht motor do you have?

On this one, I am running the Flywoo RB 1202.5  5500kv with Gemfan 3018 bi-blade props powered by a 2x1s 650 mAh battery pack. The build is a little heavy with dry weight of 97 grams. The FC is a GEPRC AIO whoop style 26x26 with 12A esc. All of this on a GEPRC Phantom bottom frame place and custom fabricated (yeah, by me, by hand Big Grin ) carbon fiber top and underside bottom (extra) frame plates. Oh Yeah, the camera mount is fabricated from copper sheet metal. I thought that high fly time might just be a one-of, but it consistently gets between 8:45 and 9:00 minutes of fly time. In fact, this wasn't built as an endurance quad; just 3 inch props on unmodified Phantom frame.  I guess I should put a [BUILD] thread together for this one; Phantom-3A.

AND... I am really working toward a 4 inch (or maybe custom 5 inch) build, but need to keep the AUW under 250g; that's why the new brotherhobby hyperbola was of interest; they beat me to the sub 250g 5 inch  Sad  . The 2.5 and 3 inch just provides a good baseline for me...on the other hand, how about a 3 inch long range  Dodgy ...OR... even a 2.5 inch long range  Whistling
