I really appreciate it. I thought I might put my spare set of Brotherhobby 1504.5 motors on that frame with a JHEMCU GHF405 flight controller. I will likely plate the motor mount locations with a custom fabricated carbon fiber sheet or a section of of a production arm; I always have spare arms in the parts bin; Yeah, sometimes I just buy spare arms if I like the looks of them and the price is right. You know, I am no stranger to arm extensions, overlays, and custom fabricated carbon fiber parts. In fact, I have been rather impressed with my two quads, Phantom-X and Phantom-4X, built on the GEPRC phantom frame with arm extensions. I will see what option works the best for me. Thanks Again. • Posts: 6,106 Threads: 172 Likes Received: 2,283 in 1,830 posts Likes Given: 4,733 Joined: Feb 2019 Reputation: 100 10-Dec-2020, 11:51 PM (This post was last modified: 10-Dec-2020, 11:52 PM by hugnosed_bat.) the frame is one of the lightest choice. i beleive for flighttimes it might work nicely, the stiffnes-lag comes under load not while cruising. not sure if you have a near lightweight frame on your list, but i guess it could work for flighttimes without crashes. im still using this frame on my original hyperbola for performance, i didnt crash it allready, as i like to bash with it im allways in danger while flying xD im not sure, but i beleive its pretty expensive as a single product? the benefit of the frame is truly weight, nothing else Posts: 5,868 Threads: 47 Likes Received: 2,779 in 2,241 posts Likes Given: 7,635 Joined: Jul 2019 Reputation: 97 Hi Hugnosed, Well I am not a basher; no acro, racing, or that stuff. I mostly fly with the throttle at about 20-30 percent; I am an easy cruiser; just want to hang in the air until the battery runs out. My first objective is keeping things below 250 grams since I am trying to stay out of the way and under the radar. I am also trying to work on my 5K badge, so having enough Fly Time to make it to 5K and back has been a consideration. I would like to be able to may the 5K with an AUW less than 250 grams. Not sure that is possible, but worth a try. Yeah, I have started a 7 inch build, BEAST, that will definitely NOT be sub-250, but might make the 5k run. Might be useless after the new FAA regulations take effect; and are enforced. Thanks for all of your help. So far, my longest Fly Time was over 21 minutes with the Katana-LR4 running a 3s 18650 pack. It will be interesting to see how the 5 inch Hyperbola build does using the same 1504.5 motors.
