First issue is my matekf405 ctr is showing a 'nogyro' error in beta flight

Edit Reason: Typo corrections. ) The NOGYRO flag generally means you have faulty gyro hardware on the board. Unfortunately there is no fix for this other than a new flight controller board, unless you're good at microscopic rework soldering and have the tools and skills to replace the onboard gyro chip.
I'm fairly sure this isn't going to work but as a last ditch attempt before you throw the FC to the dogs, I would try reflashing new firmware to the FC with the "Full chip erase" option set and see if that resolves the issue. Don't forget to run the "diff all" command in the CLI first and save a copy of those settings to a text file, so if reflashing does somehow produce a miracle, you can then restore your original Betaflight config settings again afterwards.

0 do you have I-bus set in your configurations tab or ppm if your going that route? it wont run on s-bus, that would be for frsky tx. youtube has a few good videos on binding and wire set up for the flysky tx if that helps.

0 Thanks for the replies. I ended up getting a replacement board from the supplier, soldered it all up and it worked first go, was flying that afternoon. Guess it was just faulty from factory.
Cheers for the help fellas

6 You should test the FC on Betaflight before soldering anything to it.
That way if you end up with a faulty FC from factory you can ask for a replacement under warranty.
