Tom, I just noticed the link to the thrust tests that you posted. The link goes to a site called 102tube.com which is a site in Vietnam which scrapes YouTube and steals advertising revenue. As it operates purely by stealing content, the chances that it also does other nasty things like stealing credentials and spreading malware are fairly high. The thrust test video is on YouTube at: Code: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rv4fJdoq3Gg
Maybe you'd like to edit your post and remove this scam site? I have just removed the link, because now I can't get it not to display the video in the post. Been at a water park all day, too tired to try and get it to display properly! Unfortunately, the forum is a bit brain damaged when it comes to YouTube. Even if you try to insert a link, it sees 'youtube.com' and embeds the video instead of doing what you asked it to. If I work out how to link to a video without it embedding, I'll let you know! Quite when I'll have it in my hand is a complete unknown as the postal service here in Sweden has become a complete and utter joke recently. • Posts: 1,504 Threads: 83 Likes Received: 944 in 654 posts Likes Given: 2,142 Joined: Sep 2016 Reputation: 24 24-Jan-2018, 06:04 AM (This post was last modified: 24-Jan-2018, 06:05 AM by Tom BD Bad.) I have been keeping an eye on the status of the order, then yesterday there was nothing on the order sheet at all. The info is back now and status shows - shipped! Yea the forum doesn't deal with Youtube link properly... it just embed it regardless... you can maybe shorten the link with a URL shortener... or remove the header when sharing it.. youtu.be/A1jnEdxRs2U or give it some format, such as bold.. Ah... there was the trick... Change the URL from Code: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1jnEdxRs2U
to Code: http://youtu.be/A1jnEdxRs2U
and the forum doesn't recognise it as a YouTube link. (The bold tag is a red herring.) They are, of course, cut with the usual high quality that you expect from Armattan Productions. The 2mm base plate weighs 6.11g and the 1.5mm version weighs 5.08g. The 1mm top plate weighs 1.07g Expect more photos and details to come as I populate the frame with motors and everything else that's needed to make it fly! It will be over a month before I manage to put my Bat and Cat builds together, I have the electrics on order already, but Armattan are on holidays over Feb... I can't wait to see this in the air..! I have ordered the updated Goodbye Kitty chassis, top plate and 2 small side plates which act as a mount for a 19x19mm (micro swift sized) camera. Also ordered the Lantian micro DVR, so you can look forward to my attempt at getting DVR footage captured on-board a 1S micro... The rest of the nylon hardware, standoffs etc. are probably due for delivery this week. The frame and a few other bits have been arranged to be delivered to my sisters place in London where I will be staying for a few months. Unless she has suddenly taken up electronics in the last few days I will probably have to find someone else's workbench to build on though. I might meet up with Oscar while I'm over there, so as long as shes not rubbish to fly, I might let him have a go of Goodbye Kitty, so he can give you an honest opinion, otherwise you will just have to believe my hype. I will have built another quad for him to test by then too, but that one is still classified... I am building a 2.5" build and I remember your frame • Posts: 1,504 Threads: 83 Likes Received: 944 in 654 posts Likes Given: 2,142 Joined: Sep 2016 Reputation: 24 These new 1S 1103 16000kV have just been listed on BG and have the same 3 screw 6.5mm diam mounting pattern I have used, the brotherhobby 0804 will also work. Most 110x, (and the DYS 0905 for that matter) use a 4 screw mounting, which won't work with my design. The arms are about the perfect length for a 2.5" prop, though not sure these 16000kV motors can deliver the torque a 'proper' 2.5" prop wants? Are you looking at higher voltage than 1S?
