Yea I got a lot more out of Pawel's video. It actually got me much more interested in it. I wish they used that newer Lora which would be amazing for lost drone finding. At the end of the day though, from a signal strength perspective, is this as good as Crossfire? Cos really the only drawback to 900mhz for me is that damn antenna. So much so that I would switch to Ghost in a heartbeat if it's as good as 900mhz. • Posts: 536 Threads: 19 Likes Received: 261 in 173 posts Likes Given: 168 Joined: Sep 2018 Reputation: 10 Well this looks really promising!! So it then just comes down to which company do you want to support. "As long as your RC link can outrun your video link" Any real differences may only start to show up during long and medium range flying, but I guess we will have to wait for some other reviews of that before we know. It also seems that ImmersionRC have ignored Pawel's offer to put one of their Ghost modules to the test, so he's just ordered and paid for one instead. At least we know his review will then be completely impartial, so looking forward to that. Can't wait to see it tested at higher altitude LR flying! (I'm still waiting my shipping notice from GetFPV...) Clearly both systems are awesome and I think I would be happy with either system based on the tests that have been conducted and the type of flying I do myself. I'm already committed to Crossfire so I won't be switching anytime soon but newcomers will now have a choice which is good news for the consumer in general. There are religions that would kill for the kind of froth-mouthed devotion that TBS seem to command. I just don't understand. Good products are good. More good products is better. WTF is wrong with people? The ground is for dead people. Posts: 37 Threads: 1 Likes Received: 8 in 7 posts Likes Given: 27 Joined: Jul 2020 Reputation: 0 I am all over this today. As a Beginner this system makes sense. This would be a nice system for a fleet. Never have to hit a bind button. I Should have done more research on buying a TX. Currently have a RadioLink AT9s Pro which does take Crossfire.but this radio also does not have a modeler bay. About to just get the RadioMaster TX16. Everyone is correct, it doesn't take long to spend money in this hobby. At least i would have a dedicated TX for sims right? • Posts: 21,279 Threads: 587 Likes Received: 8,973 in 6,640 posts Likes Given: 1,425 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 789 26-Aug-2020, 06:08 PM (This post was last modified: 26-Aug-2020, 06:08 PM by SnowLeopardFPV.) And here is the real answer as to why the reality for a majority of hobbyist pilots is that it doesn't really matter whether you choose the new ImmersionRC Ghost, Flysky FRM303, or TBS Crossfire systems... This is exactly what TBS meant when they posted the teaser on their Facebook page and advised people to wait if they wanted to save some money. So now you have a choice, which is good news for the consumer because before there was only really one viable option for the X-Lite which was R9 Lite module. Now you also have Lite modules for Crossfire and Ghost • Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 Lol TBS is going for Frsky's jugular. • |
