0 27-Dec-2017, 03:18 PM (This post was last modified: 27-Dec-2017, 03:18 PM by savannahmick.) I have a Wizard x220 and recently I had to replace a esc after a failure. Well I have 3 Racestar 20a EMF8BB V1.2 ESC which I thought were the Racerstar 20a v2 cause that's what is in the picture at Bangood. Well I got the newer version I guess which shows up as GH30 in BlHeli configurator the 3 I have show up as GL30 so I am probably screwed! I wish I could get what they have showing in product image cause I am afraid to use the new one with my new motors can't afford to buy more! I had to wait forever on the esc now I have to do it again unless I can get it to work with my 3 old esc. Can I flash the EMF8BB V1.2 with the GH 30 firmware is it a 28mhz esc or 48mhz esc cause new one is 48mhz. Or is the 48mhz backwards compatible with the 28mhz version ? Sucks I can't find the 1.2v one but the manual that came with new esc even shows it as GL30 in other info! Arrggggghhh! Any help or advice would be awesome! Thanks!

24 Absolutely no practical help I'm afraid Mick, but a bit of advice for the future, try to get 5 ESC's when you get a set, (of course financial constraints {AKA the Mrs!} do not always allow), at least then you know that the replacement will work.
Good luck man, I hope someone will have some useful info for you soon...

You cannot flash H firmware onto a BB1 ESC. It won't work.
However, as long as you stick to DShot 150, all of the ESCs will work just fine and there's no problem with having a mixed set of ESCs as long as you don't try to talk to them faster than the slowest one supports.
