You would need a VTX with an onboard microphone or one that has a "Microphone" input for an external microphone to be connected, not to be confused with "SmartAudio" which is for something entirely different. And the goggles also need to have a headphone socket on them.

oh understand, so generaly the most popular drone models do not have these vtx as standard  Dodgy

The ev800d does not offer this function ?

It does appear that most BNF quads don't have audio out, in which case you would need to source and fit your own VTX.

The EV800D goggles do have an audio socket on them for an earpiece.

Yes the 3.5 mm audio jack port doubles up as a audio out and video in port.

Rosssiii,

Although I can not detail the specific differences, the ev800dm did not seem to be better, just different which may, or may not, matter to you. So, check out the comparison videos before you pull the trigger. Either goggles will likely be fine.

You might check out ev800d vs ev800dm videos.

Nick Burns says that the original EV800D goggles are still better than the (newer model) EV800DM goggles, and I respect his opinion.

Hi Rosssiii,

Although I had originally adapted a couple of readers together which would go inside the goggles, I have later discovered that my standard +6.0 close up reading glasses will work with the EV800D goggles.

I now use +6.0 diopter reading glasses with metal frame when using the EV800D goggles.

Here is my current setup (see the attached pictures).

someone know if that camera (foxeer arrow micro pro camera) have the possibility to transmit video + audio to the visor ?

that camera is the model installed on the eachine wizard x220

the foxeer arrow hasnt an onboard mic. even if it would have one, the vtx would need an audio pad too.
the best way is a vtx which has a mic onboard.

AFAIK no Foxxer camera has an onboard microphone. Apart from the old Monster and the old Arrow (not the newer ones).

Some Runcam and Caddx models do.

Most of the built in microphones on FPV cameras are low quality.

And as Hug's mentioned your vtx need to have an audio pad. Smartaudio pads are a hit or miss so do not consider them.

what is an audio pad ?
is that : https://it.banggood.com/Flywoo-AGC-MIC-N...L8QAvD_BwE

had to be connected to vtx ?

What means that expression "Smartaudio pads are a hit or miss so do not consider them." ?
