GEPRC Smart35 - No receiver in Betaflight
#1
Over the winter we had worked on getting a naked GoPro 8 setup and wired in to the FC to try and do some filming this summer.  We did a quick test flight this spring to make sure everything was working as it should. Camera and quad flew as expected (only did a quick lap around the block).

A few weeks ago we went to take it out for the first flight of the summer and for some reason I couldn't get the quad to arm.  After doing some trouble shooting I noticed the receiver wasn't showing any stick movement in BF.  It is bound and will connect to the transmitter no problem.  I thought maybe the ELRS receiver was NFG, so I swapped it out for a new ep1 but still nothing.....

I've done the usual, confirmed the correct uart, make sure its set to CRSF, I've even tried updating BF firmware just in case.

I have a micro we fly indoors, and everything works on it, so im confident its not a transmitter issue.

Could the FC be the issue?  Any other suggestions on what could be the problem?

If it was previously working, that would suggest your FC is correctly configured. What is the LED showing on the RX, it should blink when you power up and turn solid only after it connects to your radio. If you run the LUA script from the radio, do you see the C in the upper right corner? What packet rate/radio are you using, maybe try to lower that.

Well, I feel silly, but I figured out the issue after reading your post....

I never took notice of the blinking lights on the receiver and low and behold, they were blinking 3 times.  Looked up what that meant it and was for model miss match.  I'm not sure how i turned this feature on in my transmitter, but it was.  I turned it off and all seems to be working now.

Hopefully I'll get the quad back together and test flight it to confirm! Its always something small that's over looked it seems.
