FlySky fs-i6x simulator problem
#1
Hi, I have a Fs-i6x transmitter, some months ago I was using this transmitter on DCL the game demo simulator and worked correctly, but now, it doesnt.

Windows 10 detect it perfectly but on the simulator, channels values go from -1 to 1 (min to max), are like buttons, on and off. I have calibrated it and only works (moreless) when I calibrate it with both joysticks on top right, so they works only on top right quatrant but can take all values from 0 to 1.
I have tried other simulator and happen the same so I think is transmitter problem but I have tried a lot of thinks and no one worked.

I am using the cable which came with the transmiter, was the cable which I used month ago and worked, and W10 detects it perfecty so it is not he problem.

Wish someone could help thanks!

I assume you mean the DCL.Aero game HERE? It seems they have retired the demo version in preparation for full release in the new year so maybe that could also be the reason - i.e. the demo version has been purposely crippled so it's no longer playable meaning you now have to wait until the full version comes out.

How do (did) you get access to play the demo? Was it online via a browser or is it downloadable software that you run locally on your computer?

I had it already installed from months ago, it was on steam, but I tried to reinstall (link: https://steamdb.info/app/964580/) and still having the same issue. And it happens to me with other simulators like "FPV freerider".

I don't have a Flysky transmitter so I can't test anything out unfortunately but if you are getting the same issue on other simulators then it sounds more like it's an issue with the hardware or a driver than with the simulator software.

When you plug your Flysky FS-i6X transmitter into your computer, what type of device does it show up as in Windows Device Manager?

"Game device compatible with HID". Windows detects it properly as a game device.

OK. I thought the Flysky transmitters were detected as a COM port device but I guess not, unless the driver has got messed up.

You may have the same issue with the Windows libusb-win32 drivers that FrSky users can experience. See the following thread...

Sorry, I've got no idea then. I suggest trying it on another computer so you can at least confirm or eliminate your computer as being the cause of the problem.

I tried it on another computer and happens the same, the problem is on the transmitter I think. I think it may be due to some firmware update or something like that but I dont really remember if I update it before or after using it on the simulator, only I can do is to apply other update and try and wait till someone who had the same problem helps me.

Thanks you.

Ok I answer myself, I have tried other simulador (Liftoff) and works perfectly. So the fail is on the simulators, I don't know why.
