FATSHARK PROBLEM!

You can of course do that but it will be a gamble and may not work if the problem is actually elsewhere, or if something else has also got damaged as well as the power board. I guess it depends how quickly you want your goggles working again.

If you aren't in a hurry to get them fixed then you can use the trial and error method of trying to replace parts one-by-one until you maybe get lucky, or you can send them in for repair where you will likely get them fixed and back again within a couple of weeks.

That's weird. I've never heard of that before. What "letter" are they asking for? They shouldn't need any letters. You are asking them to do a paid-for repair so all they should need are the model of the goggles. You then send them to a FatShark authorised repair centre who will do an assessment on them to determine what needs to be repaired and then give you a price to find out if you want to continue with the repair.

That is just the authorised repair number so that when the FatShark repair centre receive your goggles they will know what repair request it relates to (on their computerised system).

So you just need package up the goggles properly so they won't get damaged in transit, write the address of your designated FatShark repair centre on the box, and also write "Returned Item for Repair #146103" somewhere on the outside of the box. I would also include a slip of paper inside the box with your name and address on, and with that same repair number also clearly written on the piece of paper.

I would be very surprised if FatShark do the repair for free so be prepared to have to pay. If a repair charge is due then they should contact you after they do the assessment before they start the repairs to tell you how much it will be in case you decide it is too expensive.

No problem Smile

I would probably get a Mobula6 or a Moblite6 which seem to be the most popular indoor 1S whoops at the moment. Check out some of the reviews for them on YouTube.

Have you wiggled the barrel connector wire while viewing something in the googles. Mine went out when I was in the pit. I just turned them back on and everything seemed fine. Then the googles mysteriously turned off again. When I moved the wire around the googles would shut off. When I didn’t move the wire the googles appeared to work fine.the wire doesn’t have to move much. Just a blip and those googles shut down. Just a thought, it was difficult to determine what was wrong because they seemed to work fine. These googles are supper sensitive to a loss of power. There must be absolutely no capacitor backup.
