ESC Telemetry (YGRC_32_MULTI)
#1
Hey guys,

I have a BLHeli_32 4-in-1 ESC that I brought from BG.  It came with no instructions, BG could not even provide a pinout.  According to the firmware that came loaded on it the ESC is a YGRC_32.  Looking in the BLHeli_32 manual this model supports telemetry on pin PB6.

I identified that pin and associated solder pads on each of the 4x CPU's on the ESC board.  I've soldered each one to the RX1 pin on my FC.  In BF I have enabled ESC_Sensor, set UART1 to ESC and set the battery voltage sensor to ESC Sensor.

Nothing.

Am I missing something?

Justin.

Do you get ESC temperature and RPM. The ESCs will not return voltage if it doesn't have ADC on board.

Not sure how I test those without OSD?  I'm just building the quad now and wanted to check I had the ESC wired up correctly before moving on with wiring in the camera and VTX.

The board has current sensors for each ESC - perhaps this is just to support current limiting.  Seems daft if it could measure the current for limiting but not use that data for telemetry.  I tried to use the ESC Sensor for current sensing too - with one motor set to 1/4 throttle via the configurator motor page.  It didn't register anything.

Easiest way is to wire up the FPV stuff.
