0 From what I've read and found online, it seems that onboard recording with the original full size air units does not currently work if using them with the DJI goggles 2.
Can anybody confirm if this is still true, or if there have been any updates from DJI yet to fix this?

789 No, onboard recording from an OG (V1) Air Unit still isn't supported when the latest V01.01.00.00 firmware is installed on it to allow it to be used with the DJI Goggles 2.
The latest V01.01.00.00 firmware for the OG Air Unit and Caddx Vista / Runcam Link was last released over a year ago back in December 2022, and with the OG Air Unit now out of production, plus new goggles about to be released in the coming months, I wouldn't put any hope in DJI ever going back and fixing / re-enabling that feature. If you want recording capabilities on the OG Air Units you will have to flash them back to the V01.00.06.08 firmware and use them with some DJI FPV Goggles V1 / V2.

0 Interesting, thanks. That is unfortunate though, as the onboard 1080p recording is really nice to have on the air unit. I was hoping that by now there would have been an update/fix.
I didn't know there was already another new DJI goggles in the works. That seems so soon after goggles 2 came out. That probably explains why prices recently went down a little on the goggles 2 on some vendors.
