Thanks guys. I'm no video editor pro or anything. Really I use some transition fading effects and thats about it. The opening logo and "lower thirds" titles you can get for free or for like $10 off of After Effects templates websites lol. But what I really love it connecting music to visual. Music effects me a lot emotionally it's kinda weird lol. But I love it. Anyway thanks guys. I'm going to give her a few more trial flights to see if that compass arrow is still wonky. Hoping to get the Bobcat up in the air soon just waiting for CNC Madness to cut me some cam plates. But I'm not keeping my hopes up with the fligh times on that Bobcat. [edit] And in case you were wondering, the song entitled, "Red Warrior," is from the Hans Zimmer motion picture soundtrack of the movie, The Last Samurai lol. Between my ronin handle (samurai related), the red theme on the Roma, and the epic crescendos good for a long video, it was a no brainer lol. Man. I. Love. This. Frame. I'm glad to see you like this frame. I just ordered 2 of them on accident lol. I figured what the hell I know I'm gonna crash it and now I have spare parts. Or another frame for another build. I'm gonna put a caddx vista on it and make a DJI build with naked gopro. I just built a Wing too so watch out for that build post. I'm pretty proud of that one. So proud that I'm scared to fly it lol. Lol I just put in my order for another one. I plan to gut that Bobcat build since that frame is so utterly useless. Not sure what to do about the motors though. I really like the Supermans on the Bobcat but the 9x12 mounting pattern goes against the Roma's asymmetric mounting holes on one side. I am seriously considering just drilling that 3rd hole I need on 2 of the arms lol. I also still have my v1 NIN 1404s. I was going to take hug's advice and try the HOM FPV chocolate motors in 2500KV but turns out its still on backorder at getFPV which is the only store that even has that motor in that KV listed. Both will be for the same purpose with the exact same components other than the cam and motors - since I'm sure I'll lose one of them to the ocean one of these days lollll. Everything is individually packaged, part marked and clean. Wow! Is the other Diatone frame you have the same way? I mean this is like aerospace quality product man. And Im an inspector for an aerospace company so that's saying a lot man. Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 What??? Mine came in a brown paper bag with "Romo" incorrectly spelled with a Sharpie pen!! WTF?! Lol of course mine came in the same packaging bro Yea I was super impressed by the presentation. Of course that only lasts about half an hour. It's the frame that ultimately speaks for itself and on that note, I was still fairly impressed. One of the few things that really annoy me though is the asymmetric motor mounting holes. I get they are trying to safe weight but I don't know that the cost/benefit works out to the positive. In fact, I'm expecting my second frame today and am undecided whether to go with my old NIN 1404s or what I had originally really wanted, the Superman 1404s (yes, partly because it would better match my white color scheme) (ok, mostly sheesh) and that has a hybrid 9x12 mounting pattern. I am seriously considering just drilling holes to accommodate that motor. It would only be 2 additional holes 1 on each arm on one side of the quad. I plan to 3d print a jig to guide my dremel going from tiny drill bit and working up to M2 diameter. Super sketchy I know but ... color matching bruh • Posts: 788 Threads: 47 Likes Received: 543 in 341 posts Likes Given: 820 Joined: Apr 2020 Reputation: 7 Yeah I hear you on the motor screw holes. Kind of petty. Howa much weight are you really dropping with 4 m2 screws lol. 6 grams? Lol. Im using 1504 2950kv motors on mine. 3s to cruise and 4s to rip. Caddx vista with nebula pro fits like a glove. Im psyched man! Gonna be a fun little drone. • Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 Ohhhh I have been researching bigger motors to turn my failed Armattan Bobcat into a potential lightweight ripper. Looking forward to your build thread I'm super curious about those 1504s. • Posts: 788 Threads: 47 Likes Received: 543 in 341 posts Likes Given: 820 Joined: Apr 2020 Reputation: 7 I actually had them on a 3 inch and they were nice on 4s. A lot of power. On 3s they were good to cruise around and got some good flight times (close to 10 min on GnB 1100mah) but not much power so freestyle was out of the question. You need to upgrade to 15XX motors. I'm getting 10 minutes flight times with 4s 1100mah battery. I will post a build later today. Like those skids too man. Can you hook a brotha up with some STL files? I love how this frame handles man. My new favorite to fly. I was just telling iFly I was thinking of turning the Bobcat into a 4 inch ripper so I might go with the 15xx setup you recommend. Likely 4S 850mah since I already have those for my 3 inchers. In either case, I'm hoping to keep to sub250. That's why I'd likely not go bigger motors on these 4 inch LR builds since that would likely put me over. But with a 4 inch freestyler, I don't need a GPS or big antennas so hoping I can use that to offset the bigger power train but still come in sub250. With thes 4 inch LR's, I'm still around 220ish. |
