My VTX is transmitting video to my goggles. In Betaflight things look good so far, except on the Receiver tab. This appears to be a somewhat common issue but I haven’t been able to fix it yet. Could this mean that my receiver isn’t talking to my FC? • Posts: 12,098 Threads: 125 Likes Received: 3,739 in 2,836 posts Likes Given: 99 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 388 Are you saying that you are not getting stick movements? If yes, then please post photos of your wiring and dump file. Can you also tell us what firmware you put on the R-XSR? Standard or F. Port. • Posts: 53 Threads: 9 Likes Received: 3 in 2 posts Likes Given: 10 Joined: Jul 2019 Reputation: 0 My apologies- yes, I meant to say that I’m not getting any stick movement in Betaflight. I flashed my R-XSR with the latest Standard 190311 firmware, I am not doing F.Port. Here is my wiring: • Posts: 21,415 Threads: 595 Likes Received: 9,038 in 6,689 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 796 You've got the wrong wire soldered to the SBUS pad on your FC. De-solder the yellow wire and solder the green wire to the SBUS pad instead. • Posts: 53 Threads: 9 Likes Received: 3 in 2 posts Likes Given: 10 Joined: Jul 2019 Reputation: 0 Doh!! Ok thank you, I will do that. • Posts: 21,415 Threads: 595 Likes Received: 9,038 in 6,689 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 796 (09-Nov-2019, 04:18 PM)eforden Wrote: Doh!! Ok thank you, I will do that. It's an easy mistake to make. That's why we generally ask for photos of the wiring If it still doesn't work after you've done that, run the "dump" command in the CLI and copy/paste the results back here. • Posts: 53 Threads: 9 Likes Received: 3 in 2 posts Likes Given: 10 Joined: Jul 2019 Reputation: 0 I’m glad you said it’s an easy mistake to make, that definitely makes me feel better being such a newbie at this! I will post my results as soon as I get that green wire soldered in. • Posts: 53 Threads: 9 Likes Received: 3 in 2 posts Likes Given: 10 Joined: Jul 2019 Reputation: 0 (09-Nov-2019, 03:58 PM)SnowLeopardFPV Wrote: You've got the wrong wire soldered to the SBUS pad on your FC. Are you planning to do telemetry? • Posts: 53 Threads: 9 Likes Received: 3 in 2 posts Likes Given: 10 Joined: Jul 2019 Reputation: 0 Yes, but I have no idea yet on how to setup telemetry... • Posts: 21,415 Threads: 595 Likes Received: 9,038 in 6,689 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 796 10-Nov-2019, 12:02 AM (This post was last modified: 10-Nov-2019, 12:03 AM by SnowLeopardFPV.) To wire up and set up telemetry on the Tyro109, solder the yellow wire of the R-XSR (S.Port) to the S.Port pad on the other side of the FC as shown in the image below (that's the yellow wire at the bottom alongside the green wire):- Then run the following commands in the CLI and you should then get telemetry on your transmitter (assuming that you bound the transmitter to the receiver in D16 mode and selected one of the "Telem ON" options that appears when you do that)... Code: resource motor 5 none resource serial_tx 11 A15 serial 30 32 115200 57600 0 115200 save

And yes I did bind in D16 mode and selected Telem ON. • Posts: 53 Threads: 9 Likes Received: 3 in 2 posts Likes Given: 10 Joined: Jul 2019 Reputation: 0 It worked! After soldering the yellow wire, I went to the Telemetry page on my X9D+ and Discovered new sensors and it found 11 sensors. Thank you very much, again, for the help!! I think I'm ready to take it for a test flight.. • Posts: 21,415 Threads: 595 Likes Received: 9,038 in 6,689 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 796 Great news. So far so good with some line of sight flying in angle mode. Only had 2 issues.. I couldn’t initially take off, kept flipping towards the one side. I figured out I put 2 of the props on wrong. Fixed that one. Second one was a bit bigger, I hadn’t setup any telemetry warnings on my transmitter and I ran my battery down way too low and killed it. Oops!! I’ve since setup my warnings and also got the battery voltage to display on the top bar of my X9D+. Now I have to start flying with the goggles on so I can get used to it, and practicing in acro mode. • |
