Best value VTX in 2019?
#1
Looking for cheap VTX? Check out the Eachine TX805.
For $12.5, you get "800mW", SmartAudio, MMCX, solder pads and FC stackable.

It's currently on sale on Banggood: http://bit.ly/2UaVBPX

Not quite as powerful as 800mW as advertised in my testing, more like 400mW. But 25mW and 200mW are very accurate. More detail: https://oscarliang.com/eachine-tx805-vtx/

Great find. I never understood why it always cost more from the US warehouse.

There are probably some tax & duty implications with having stuff available for domestic shipping from a warehouse on US soil. Most of the stuff coming direct from China avoids excise and duty, plus the shipping costs are dirt cheap.

It's the same with Hobbyking stuff. They have Chinese, EU and UK warehouses but stuff sourced from the EU and UK warehouses always tends to be more expensive for the same items.

Also, don't forget that Chinese manufacturers and companies get massive postal charge subsidies when sending things by post to encourage international trading which is why they can send stuff halfway across the world for a tenth of the cost of you having something sent domestically.

Higher overhead due to increased cost of labor.

Oh, and we have tariffs on goods coming in from China right now. GetFPV finally just rolled the tariff into the price of the items, but at first they were listing in down by the shipping rate. We essentially have a China Tax.

I guess it similar to buying something out-of-state or in-State. When we buy something in our own State  tax is automatically charged  When we buy something out-of-state, the taxes are our responsibility to pay. Of course I claim all my taxes you ask.  Wink

I guess when they import a boat load, tariffs are imposed. When you buy a few items directly, tariff gets swept up the rug.

RDQ eats the tariff charges, at least for now.  Another reason to go RDQ.

Just wish Tyler and Trappy would quit have their little cat fight so RDQ will carry TBS stuff.
