I've just bought a Tiny Whoop, for indoor practice. But was thinking of buying a "real" radio for it, binding it - and also being able to practice through simulator. Which should I buy? Can I bind it to "everything"? Does anyone have experience buying from places like "banggood" and having it shipped to Denmark? It needs to be something I can use in the future, but also somewhat easy to configure for the simulator, which i believe im gonna spend most of my time. Been looking at these; FlySky fs-i6x Taranis 7 Thanks a ton. Simon. • Posts: 6,160 Threads: 172 Likes Received: 2,298 in 1,845 posts Likes Given: 4,755 Joined: Feb 2019 Reputation: 103 09-Dec-2019, 07:58 PM (This post was last modified: 09-Dec-2019, 08:01 PM by hugnosed_bat.) i would suggest the „jumper t16 pro hall“, it has the same opensource firmware as the frsky models use; opentx. hall gimbals... it has a multiprotocoll module, possibility to comunicate with alot different protocols; frksy, spektrum, futaba, flysky... can be bind to the most usual protocolls ( https://www.team-blacksheep.com/products...er_t16_pro out of stock at the tbs store at the moment, but you will probably find it in an other store in the area of denmark) https://m.banggood.com/da/FlySky-i6-FS-i...mds=search for a very budget friendly option, you can do a mod and you will be able to use 10channels as the fs-i6x. i have the fs-6i in use, its very tiny and handy, i like it. but simulater wouldnt be as easy like a jumpert16pro or a qx7. you will need an extra cable. Thanks! If I "only" need a cable extra - I think the FlySky would be my choice. Would you agree? • Posts: 6,160 Threads: 172 Likes Received: 2,298 in 1,845 posts Likes Given: 4,755 Joined: Feb 2019 Reputation: 103 09-Dec-2019, 08:38 PM (This post was last modified: 09-Dec-2019, 08:39 PM by hugnosed_bat.) flsyky does have less featers and less quality parts, you can only use receivers with flysky protocoll... its a lot more limited... but it isnt bad, its very inexpensive. the jumpert16 pro hall would give you all featers and future options, like ability for tbs crossfire module... if you can spend the money for the t16, i guess you will be happy with it in longterm use... there is also the ergonomie, hands can be different... you need to try.. there are the frsky controllers in the „gamepad design“, or the flysky nirvana... you can take a look at them aswell. • Posts: 5 Threads: 1 Likes Received: 1 in 1 posts Likes Given: 1 Joined: Dec 2019 Reputation: 0 (09-Dec-2019, 08:38 PM)hugnosed_bat Wrote: flsyky does have less featers and less quality parts, you can only use receivers with flysky protocoll... its a lot more limited... but it isnt bad, its very inexpensive. the jumpert16 pro hall would give you all featers and future options, like ability for tbs crossfire module... if you can spend the money for the t16, i guess you will be happy with it in longterm use... there is also the ergonomie, hands can be different... you need to try.. there are the frsky controllers in the „gamepad design“, or the flysky nirvana... you can take a look at them aswell. Does it have the possibility to connect to more? • Posts: 2,416 Threads: 51 Likes Received: 1,861 in 1,175 posts Likes Given: 3,315 Joined: Mar 2016 Reputation: 74 (10-Dec-2019, 10:00 AM)xERRR Wrote: What does the "multiprotocol module" mean? Does it have the possibility to connect to more? Yes. You can connect to many different brands of receiver, including many toy-type quads. You can connect to spektrum, futaba, frsky, and many more. Your "tiny whoop" may be one of these. (In fact, whatever protocol your tiny-whoop uses, it probably can NOT be connected to the X9 Lite without a multiprotocol module.) The X9 Lite has ACCESS and ACCST-D16 protocols only without a module. • Posts: 545 Threads: 28 Likes Received: 135 in 101 posts Likes Given: 94 Joined: Oct 2018 Reputation: 6 If I was to get a new radio, despite already having a QX7 like so many others around I would definitely go with a Jumper T16 Pro Hall. As some good reviews an okay format in the hands and great "upgrade-ability". It would help if you could provide us with a budget however most will agree that a radio is something that's bought for the long run. • Posts: 5 Threads: 1 Likes Received: 1 in 1 posts Likes Given: 1 Joined: Dec 2019 Reputation: 0 (10-Dec-2019, 10:50 AM)brnmd Wrote: If I was to get a new radio, despite already having a QX7 like so many others around I would definitely go with a Jumper T16 Pro Hall. Budget would be around 150 dollars - so i believe i've found a T16, within the budget. I believe the possibility for it to connect to a wider range of quads and tiny whoops, would be the thing for me.
