After 6-7 years living with my Artillery Sidewinder X1, I finally decided to upgrade. I have done everything to the Sidewinder I can do. It is making some good prints, I think it is time. Black Friday, Bambu Lab had $200 off the X1 Carbon. Trigger pulled.
I thought this thing will print right out of the box. Well, it did and then it did not. First print went great, the second one did not. And neither did multiple tries after. Many calibrations, recalibration, reading forums, Bambu help documents, and even calling a friend who has three of these without resolution. Pretty much given up and started a tech support ticket. This was partly my fault. My second print, I sliced myself. But realized later I used the wrong printer profile. When I corrected everything, it still did not print properly. So, I must have screw up something in the printer.
Failed prints
As a last ditch effort, I tried to do a factory reset for the second time. But this time, I did the factory reset then power down completely after it rebooted. Then I powered down and went through the starting calibration. A miracle happened, the print printed. I hope this help someone in the same boat as me.
It is amazing how fast this thing prints. YouTube videos just does not do it justice. And the quality is top notch. Anyone on the fence, go for it. You will not regret it.
