looking to upgrade antenna if it is worth it? anyone tell me their experience? also are the eachine ev100 better? enough to upgrade?

the ev100 are pretty slim but the rest is not that exciting, i would suggest an eachine ev800, its very good value for money.

antennas are very important, if the video receiver isnt good you wont be able to get much improvement... i would aim another goggle.

i bought used goggles and had good experience, maybe you can find a nice offer for a quality goggle in your area: fatahark, skyzone

Why, yes, yes I have upgraded!

I have the Emax goggles that came with my TinyHawk 2. I had heard upgrading the VTX antenna can make an improvement. I decided to go with Lumenier AXII Micro on my TH2. I got LHCP, just.. because lol

As I was still using the stock dipole antennas on the goggles, but I knew it was not as good as it could be. Yes, dipole does both LHCP or RHCP, but neither very well, or not as good as 'matched'

I ended up, after a lot of research, I went with a Lumenier Double AXII LR Omni, and a AXII DUO Patch. I am -extremely- happy with the results. I see people complain all the time about the crappy video on TinyHawk 2, and TH2 Freestyle. Certainly not mine.

I have more money invested in antennas that what my Emax box goggles are worth, literally. I justified that by knowing that being SMA connectors, they will fit most other goggles.

What I think a lot of people don't realize, is that it's the antennas that make the goggles, they are just screens. An 800mw+ VTX ain't squat with a crappy antenna, IMO.

My goggles worked better with just ONE antenna (omni), than it did with both dipoles. It was actually an accident, I didn't realize why it was not as clear as usual. HA, only one antenna, that explains it...oops!
