Use a different antenna
#1
Hey

If I use the Crossfire antenna U.FL on the elrs receiver, will the range differ?

I used one, and the range was good, and I used another, but the range was bad

Are you using the 2.4GHz ELRS receivers, or the 900MHz ELRS receivers? Most people are using the 2.4GHz ExpressLRS setup so I will assume you have the same.

You can't use a TBS Crossfire antenna on a 2.4GHz receiver because the Crossfire antennas are tuned for a 900MHz frequency. If you managed to get a Crossfire antenna to work on a 2.4GHz ELRS receiver then I'm surprised and it is just luck that you managed to get any kind of range at all, but I wouldn't risk using the quad again with that antenna on it. Put an antenna on that is tuned to the 2.4GHz frequency.

Beautiful, you removed the blindness from my eyes?

And so I said, the weather was probably clear, so the range was good and was limited to about 500-900 meters

BetaFPV generally sell packs of two dipole antennas for ELRS for very little money. If you need to pad an order out, throw a couple of packs of them into your cart. They are really useful. I try to keep a few of them in my spares box as i've destroyed a couple of them in bandos.
