I’ve discovered one to fit fairly well, then end rx and vtx.. the whoop boards will fit but the usb will be difficult to access without modifying the frame.. Just looking at different options... I have my wife brining home a 3D printer.. maybe I can get something designed not ply to fit a whoop board. But will also be a battery mount like the original

I found a happy model aio fc .. it’s the same size as my diamond vtx(in pic).. it’s a 1s only board, but it has a 200mw vtx.. since I will save weight I’m gonna use tinysleds. It will also solve the motor wire length /solder issues.. Let me get it installed.. see about the usb location.. turn it over to the kids.. and see if it lasts... if so, we may have our “alternative” for 1s tinyhawks

Hi Rob, What pictures? Have you posted pictures somewhere?

Trying to do it from my phone, files to large, downloaded a “photo compressor” app, re-uploaded.. I think one posted. I even tried the non-mobile forum version.. I’ll try it from my laptop.. What a PITA!!!! The "photo compressor" app changed the file extension and wouldnt upload, since they were to large from my phone... had to recover the pics, upload to Google Drive, download to my laptop THEN use the same procedures as before (add attachments)... but for some reason this time they saved...I HOPE. This tells me I will only be able to post photos from my PC not phone...

Photo test OK, i have tried god knows how may ways to get photos to upload properly to this site..I even went as far as changing the files on my phone (I use it to take the photos)...the "Imger" is a PITA, unless u download that setup and give them access...not gonna happen.. I reduced the file sizes, still no luck, uploaded to a drive, downloaded to my desktop... Still, the best I can do is the "thumbnails" ..I guess they will have to do... It woudnt take much to make this easier... The RDQ Forum is simple, copy and past from whereever, the forum seems to just "reduce the file" and inserts it.. Ill get my "progress" posted hopefully tonight.... some good and not so good news..

OK... here we go.. sorry for the long delay.... The Tinyhawk Freestyle ...ANY 16X16 whoop board will fit EASILY in the frame with a simple adapter plate. I received these from Joshua A, he did these for the Tinyhawk... I will be using one IF / WHEN the FC dies... You can use a AIO (vtx and RX included) but WHY!!?? I believe u get a better quality component using separate ones... well, it would be cheaper and u have a better selection... I was informed these will be available on thingyverse after a few changes are made... The one for the Freestyle looks like is should work without any mods.... Inserting photos is more work than it needs to be... I spent 10 times longer getting these things to work... if it were easier, I bet more people would post more photos

...Now for the tinyhawk 1s progress.... Well, I found a fc that fits, WITH the rx and vtx (200mw mind you- NOT 25) as you know..... now it is a matter of fitting it... I decided to mount the USB down for easier access AND the motor pads will be easier to solder... More to come... I have another "option" for the tinyhawk... it may actually allow you to use the motors and props and offer better prop protection.. STAY TUNED!
Mounted, soldered, motors mapped, camera installed (swapped 2pins). maiden ALL GOOD! And it flew real well.. I swear the motors sounded better. It is still on bf 3.5.7 so no rpm filtering.. So YES, if u fly your tinyhawks on 1s batteries I can easily say this fc is a very good alternative... Looking at a possible frame alternative that will not only receive this fc easier... but may help protect the motor/prop bells ...

Well, it FINALLY happened, I crashed this little beast and lost the OSD.. can’t be to mad.. this fc was run over by a car at one point… the quad still flies fine. Just no osd.. I’m gonna save this FC for my wife’s tiny hawk killers.. they don’t need it.. they fly till the batteries die.. I am NOT going to replace it with another Emax AIO.. gonna look for a 2-4s f4 aio.. no rx, no vtx… I know the motors are 1103 7000kv.. I will scale them back if I go 3s.. I don’t see me flying 4s on 2.5” props… Any suggestions?? I’ve got a few In mind..

Hi Rob,
First, the 1103 7000Kv motors should handle 3S just fine. I run GNB 3S 650 mAh and 1100 mAh on my GEPRC Phantom which has 1103 8000Kv motors all the time. The motors are fine and they don't get hot. Even though I don't run 3S on my EMAX TinyHawk Freestyle, the 7000 Kv motors should handle 3S just fine.
As for an FC replacement...
TheHIFIONRC F7 2-4S AIO WHOOP FLIGHT CONTROLLER W/ 25A 4IN1 ESC is in several of my builds and I have had no issues. Well, the USB connector disconnected on the very first board {which is still working fine, by the way}...so now I secure all USB connectors to the FC board with Bondic...regardless of the brand. This is an F7 board that is about the same price as many F4 AIO boards. At $51.99 USD the HIFIONRC FC is a good value and less than any other comparable FC. I like this board and it comes in 25A and 45A {when available}.
I also like the JHEMCU AIO FC boards, but they cost more than the HIFIONRC boards for less of a board. I have used this brand with great success, however, they are just not as good of a value; I want my money to go as far as possible. Also, most of their boards are now rated 3-6S which is not bad if you need more than 3S, but I don't so not worth the extra money.
The Although I have not used it, theDARWINFPV 15A 1-3S F411 ULTRALIGHT/WHOOP AIO is one of the cheapest FC boards at $39.99 USD, but is rated a little lower than you are looking for.
I really want to like the Flywoo FC products, but have not had very good success with them; not sure why...
Personally, HIFIONRC offers the best value in whoop AIO FC boards. They just do. In fact, you can't find any comparable FC boards for the same price. Right now, most AIO FC boards are over $50 USD...most are much higher. Yes you can find a few lesser boards in the $35-$45 range, but for me, you get a lot less board for only a little less money. If you are OK with a BetaFPV product then the BetaFPV Whoop F405 looks like a decent option and a little bit cheaper than the HIFIONRC, but yes, it is less of a board having an F405 instead of an F7 processor.

I use a BetaFPV FC in my 1s Babytooth and it works great so far other than a weak vTx(25mW only). It's only a couple weeks old so I can't speak on longevity, but otherwise I'm happy with it. (Finally got it flying how I want this morning by using Quad66's PIDs from his youtube video.) It's amazing how much fun it can be flying a little 1s.
I also just ordered that DarwinFPV 1-3s FC from PyroDrone. Should get it Tuesday for a 2s Crux3 build. For the $40 price, it seems good enough for a light weight 2s crux3 frame build. I'll post again once I've built and flown it next week. I'm going to pair it up with Apex Racing 1202.6 6666kv motors (https://pyrodrone.com/collections/12xx/p...oose-color) on 2s, with a Caddx Baby Ratel Cam, and PandaRC Nano vTx + Crossfire Nano rX.

Thanks for the input.. I think I’m gonna steer away from the Betafpv aio for the moment.. the price is very good, but their quality hasn’t been the greatest. My buddy and I got 3” racerxl.. his fc toasted with a little damp grass, mine just from plugging in.. Since I have a rx and vtx.. giving me a better “selection” to choose from.. I will say, flying this full power on 3s is VERY tempting !!!
Ordered the Darwin 1-3s fc… $39, plenty of breakout pads… install shouldn’t be to bad, gonna have to remap the motors in order to access the usb.. Now I’m getting “itchy”..
