But 2.5mm for the arms? I thought 3mm for my micro 4" was already cutting it tight. But otherwise I am super tempted here what do you think? lol Posts: 1,013 Threads: 11 Likes Received: 452 in 349 posts Likes Given: 372 Joined: Dec 2017 Reputation: 16 Yeah, can't imagine it would be very durable, but 29 bucks and 33 grams? Tempting for sure. • Posts: 119 Threads: 21 Likes Received: 49 in 34 posts Likes Given: 26 Joined: May 2018 Reputation: 0 Kinda think those 2.5 mm arms might be like using 4mm on a 7"...jello pudding, no? Cool design, maybe make it 'yer own with some tweaks? • Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 Yea the vibrations was what I was worried about. But I wonder if the single body format mitigates or irritates that? Still I'm having so much fun with my 4" for long range that this really caught my eye. • Posts: 5,966 Threads: 47 Likes Received: 2,798 in 2,259 posts Likes Given: 7,776 Joined: Jul 2019 Reputation: 97 Yeah, I have checked out this frame. It is on my list of "To Buy" items. I am not worried about the frame thickness; in fact that is a feature that I like along with the dual mounting (front and back), the modified "dead cat" design, and the camera mount. It looks like a "low" profile frame which I also like. The only reason that I have not already purchased it is that I already have several frames and a build in the making. Gotta get this one going first. But I can't fly yet, so doing other things This frame is definitely on my list. • Posts: 6,157 Threads: 172 Likes Received: 2,297 in 1,844 posts Likes Given: 4,753 Joined: Feb 2019 Reputation: 103 22-Apr-2020, 08:52 PM (This post was last modified: 22-Apr-2020, 08:53 PM by hugnosed_bat.) try it ;-) 33g - it could be more lightweight i beleive unibody is the way to go for this sort of build i flew the very old 4inch deadcat famedesign 2,5mm. the frame was 29g and it was for 30x30mm mount. i had two, one broke with a 1806 settup and one with a heavy 150g lipo. it was pretty rigid on a lightweight. i beleive this should be about 250g uaw and it could be very rigid on this weight. • Posts: 119 Threads: 21 Likes Received: 49 in 34 posts Likes Given: 26 Joined: May 2018 Reputation: 0 Looks like they are offering a 10% discount on two. anyone here in CA interested in going halvsies? • Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 I'm super tempted but check out the youtube videos theres some serious vibrations. I'm on the fence now. • Posts: 5,966 Threads: 47 Likes Received: 2,798 in 2,259 posts Likes Given: 7,776 Joined: Jul 2019 Reputation: 97 23-Apr-2020, 11:16 PM (This post was last modified: 23-Apr-2020, 11:20 PM by iFly4rotors.) the.ronin, I looked for Youtube videos on this, but really couldn't find anything. What videos are you referring to (please put in links so I can check them out). I am seriously thinking about buying this frame, but would like to know about any know issues. Thanks Harry. P.S. I don't plan to use "balls-to-the-wall" motors or do wild acro stunts. I fly more like you do...easy cruising...take a look around...maybe some proximity flying, but none of that ball busting acro flying. So, I would like to see their setup and what they expect from this frame. • Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 23-Apr-2020, 11:38 PM (This post was last modified: 23-Apr-2020, 11:39 PM by the.ronin.) I just searched for it on youtube ... https://www.youtube.com/results?search_q...ormer+mini I don't think these were tuned but still. Airblade UAV seems to like to make versions of their frames like the Eclair. If I can hold out, I may just do so for their v2 of this frame. In fact, this frame is in response to requests for a micro version of their bigger 7" Transformer with folding arms (hence the name). I like the retro.604 videos; really cool, especially the one up and down the RR track. I didn't see anything disturbing in his videos. Most of the other links were for other frames (the Intrepid, Éclair, Macaron, the Transformer 7"), but nothing to suggest that the Transformer Mini 4" frame gave any vibration (maybe I missed something). Using the retro.604 videos as reference, I still like the frame. Since I have no immediate need, I will likely wait. (maybe). My "Phantom X" project will be the build to finish first; but since I can't fly ![ROFL ROFL](https://intofpv.com/images/smilies/custom/rofl.png) , I am not in any hurry. Once I build it, I will want to fly it. Thanks Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 Lol right on man. I am super sensitive to any vibrations because I like to use these micro long range drones for cinematic stuff. So I have the video blown up like 3 inches from my face lol. • Posts: 119 Threads: 21 Likes Received: 49 in 34 posts Likes Given: 26 Joined: May 2018 Reputation: 0 I'm inclined to get one, but money is tight.... been wanting to build a 4 for a while. I don't own anything light enough to fall under the 250 g mark...light and inexpensive is appealing to me at this point. I looked at the video too and am not sophisticated enough to see too much jiggle, but I'm used to some pretty crappy vibes with the rigs I run now.
