2.5" Tadpole
#1
For some reason I thought I needed to build this.  So I did.

I couldn't decide if I wanted to go 3S or 4S.  The only reason I went 3S is because I didn't have a 3S quad yet.  I know, I know, dumb reason, hehe.  I didn't have a particular goal in mind for the build beyond just building.  So here it is.

iFlight XING Nano X1103 8000kV motors.  I knew they would be small, but was I surprised when they arrived.  They are so light their boxes feel empty.  The pictures are taken on a U.S. dime and British one pound coin for a size comparison.

There it is.  I bought several props to try.  Emax Avan Rush 2.5x1.9 in the pictures.  Flies great and fits everywhere.

Wow, those motors are tiny, as is the frame!

I'm trying to work out the feasibility of a micro LR digital build using either this frame or the GEPRC Phantom, a naked DJI AU, and a Whoop AIO, and 2s Li-Ion. The numbers work out in eCalc (post coming soon), but I'm worried about the naked AU fitting (I'm picturing it mounted diagonally above the Whoop AIO)...

Would it be possible to take a few measurements of the frame? Dimensions of the top and bottom plates? What is the total stack height that will fit?

V-22, I can do that. I'm not home currently, but gimme a few hours and I'll try and get on it.

It was a really tight build, but I think it turned out okay.

Sorry, I ran behind yesterday. But the weather has me stuck inside so I'll get on it for you.

Okay. Top plate is about 22mm at the widest and 14 at the narrowest measurement. About 62mm long. Issue with max stack height is that the top plate is angled down toward the back. Best I can tell you is at the front it measures approximately 20mm between the plates and at the rear it is about 14mm.

Bottom plate about 22mm at the widest point where the stack would be.

Did I miss anything? If so let me know, and as long as I don't have to disassemble the damn thing I'll help, hehe.
