The road was finally opened after the last fire went through the area. It was requested I get "some altitude" to see how the fire worked its way past The Center and where they stopped it. There is one DVR run where the fire line and funneling to a point took place. At the end of that point, they made several retardant drops to smother the remainder. Interesting to see how CalFire works an event! Managed to hit a tree...HARD with The 5", so guess what I get to repair! Frame is fine, broke a prop but loosened something (not the antenna) in the impact and subsequent tumble. Might have damaged the camera...will know more when I can take some time to figure it out. Most flying was done with The Bug which has turned into a neat little camera platform! The Japalura was fun as well...as always! Will post a video once I can edit everything into a nice presentation. Happy Monday all! <3 SoCal Kaity :D OMG, no one told me it would be this much fun! It was about 100 degrees and the first day back after a fire evac, but still love it up there! SoCal Kaity :D OMG, no one told me it would be this much fun! I can see where I have a memory built up from one of my quads for a particular yaw rate...OMG, I am actually looking to do something specific with PIDS and stuff!!! I've been playing with rates, too. It's been very helpful. What props are you using? • Posts: 3,288 Threads: 129 Likes Received: 2,740 in 1,644 posts Likes Given: 2,969 Joined: Apr 2017 Reputation: 65 Lumenier 3x4x3 v2's. They fly nice and are pretty durable. SoCal Kaity :D OMG, no one told me it would be this much fun! Did you order a set of the Garila motors in the end? I reckon you will be surprised at how much punch they will give your Japalura. (Just an assumption from looking at your climb rate in this vid.) What battery are you using? What battery are you using? At some point, I will end up with a smallish form HD cam...only need clear 1080P. I was thinking about it last night. BDay coming, Christmas too. I have not ordered any motors yet. Holding off while I focus on a few other things in life I fly almost exclusively the Lumenier 700mah, 4S Graphenes and cannot speak highly enough about them. They have held up to my abusive nature really well. They have about 50 cycles apiece now and they feel fresh as when they were new out of box. Holding off while I focus on a few other things in life The main reason I asked is because a friend of mine recently said that he would like to get into flying, so I put a shopping basket together for him, BG only had one set of the Garila's in stock at the time and now there are none, thought you might have grabbed the last set! BTW I hope you have a lovely birthday! Windless fields and smokeless builds |
