My first flight and crash (Video)
#1
Hey everyone! Here is a few clips of my very first time flying FPV with my new drone (Including my crash). Excuse the bad color and camera noise in the middle of the video, I didn't adjust the ND filter so I had to bring up exposure and color in premiere. My crash is at the end of the video but was the very first time up in the air. I tried to do a roll and I guess I shouldn't have haha I hope you enjoy my lack of FPV skills

Be careful putting your goggles down like that! A few seconds of sun exposure can burn your screens.

Crashing your quad for the first time is like breaking a bottle of champagne over a ship when you launch it. It's got to be done!

The ground is for dead people.

That’s darn good for a first flight! Wish they had simulators when I started RC. Would’ve saved I don’t know 1000’s of dollars. Definitely do not leave your googles on the ground like that. It’s best just to leave on your head or have a light proof bag. Never expose the lens to direct sun while putting on or taking off. Think magnify glass and ants. No actual insects were hurt in the issuing of that statement.

Thank you!!! The sim definitely helped a ton!

I'm definitely glad I know that now. I would've kept on doing it unintentionally and ended up ruining my goggles lol

It would have happened in just a couple seconds, they are very light sensitive. You most likely would not have had enough time to even pick them up before substantial damage was done. Its good it wasn't sunny Big Grin Isn't it great to learn something before finding out the usual way, intofpv forum.
