Hi guys. So Im working on my first ever quad build. Picked up a kit on amazon after doing some research and i like the kit allot. But i have a question about he wiring. The kit came with a Matek PDB. Hobbymate blheli escs and Hobbymate motors. I got the motor and escs all connected and soldered to the board but im wondering how to connect to the receiver and flight controller. The kit came with instructions and it says to remove the red wires from the ESCs and to use the 5v BEC from the pdb to power the flight controller and receiver. But the ESCs have a 5v 1amp BEC. I was just wondering can I just us the BEC on the ECS to power the receiver and flight controller. Im also planning on using QQ Thunder Flight Controller. I have a Turnigy I6 transmitter and receiver. Im not using any FPV equipment yet. Here is a pic of the diagram that came wit the board and instructions. Thanks
You could, and this was the way it used to be commonly done but it's better to power them from the Matek as it has its own 5V regulator (which I believe is 2A but don't quote me). Most of the ESC's you see these days don't have BEC's so will ease any ESC upgrades at a later date and and you reduce chances of grounding loops.

Thanks for the info. I think I will just use the escs for for power now to get me up and running then i will use the 5v BEC on the PDB once i get some servo wire leads since i dont have any will over some up.
