What do these numbers mean on T-Motor motor?
#1
What does the "4" mean on the base of the motor?  Couldn't find answer online.
Is it bad to mix and match?  I doubt it since you have no idea what are you getting from vendors.
I have a mix of 3 and 4 numbered motors...

This might be a shot to the air but have you checked the number of mounting holes for the motors labeled with 4 and 3? Are they the same?
You should be fine as long as they are the same size and KV.

I think it indicates what version of the motor. Not completely sure. Mixing should be fine.

Because they are T-motors and IMO are one of the best motors, the 4 is for "for the win"!   Big Grin

Just messing around, I don't know what the 4 is for..... Cry

probably there is a 1/2/3/4 declaration for the motornumber, some sellers would probably send 4motors with a 1, one nr. 2, one nr. 3 and one nr. 4 - only sense this could have or what i can imagine...
its not a number which display a spec, it could be used for a very unmessy clean declaration for the motornumber x-) if the seller send all for numbers in a set of 4motors x-)

You said you have 2 3's and 2 4's and voodoo has all 3's.... Are the bolt directions different? Maybe it has to do with CCW and CW threads...? I'm only guessing because this fits, I'm pretty sure i was in a thread where voodoo mentions his are all one type of thread either CC or CCW.

If they are CC and CCW are they consistent with the numbers? IDk why they would use 3 and 4 though..... Like I said just a wild guess.

Guess fail. IDk maybe it is the version then, is it only on those particular motors? I don't have them on mine unless it's somewhere else..... Maybe whoever the seller is is trying to save a buck by giving you half older and half newer.... did you get them from banggood? Or a private seller? Maybe a local shop?

It's interesting that no one knows what it is.

it is to declarate the motorposition.. but for dooing this you need all four numbers on one motor... its not important for use, its only about visability of the motororder by eye...

oh I see what you mean.... but it seems everyone only has 3's or 4's so.... I guess that would work too, but usually they use the numbers 1 and 2 like on some props on consumer grade drones.

The numbers don't mean anything. They are simply just put there to stir up debate and extra free publicity on the internet for T-Motor Big Grin

I emailed them. I heard back from a sales manager at T-Motor.
"No worry about it.
The number on motor is just series number of manufacture.
It is for factory reference only"

Thanks for the feedback everyone.
