Hi FPVWIZARD,
If you fry the FC board, it is generally not repairable or certainly not cost effective even if you have the skills.
Replacing the FC board is pretty much the only viable option. Personally, I would make a simple adapter plate and use a standard 26x26 whoop mount AIO. If you use a VTX with the same 26x26 mount option, it will stack right on top. The THF uses short, 15mm, standoff columns, so you might need longer ones, like the standard 20mm ones.
The adapter plate could be made out of just about anything. I would likely use a piece of sturdy, flat, plastic. I use the flat side of the square bottles from alcohol, peroxide, MCT oil, etc. Everything comes in plastic and there is generally a flat side somewhere. As an added benefit, the plastic is an insulator and doesn't conduct current. Plus, plastic is easy to work with; use knife, scissors, hole punch, hand drill, pretty much anything.
I have the
GEPRC Stable F4 toothpick stack in my
Tiny-Black-85 whoop. I chose this one since it comes with a VTX and fits nicely together. Yeah, it might be a little pricey, but it does include the VTX and works well for me. I used an FrSky XM+ receiver in this build.
