Probably this will be the last time i am gonna buy a radio ( until something so revolutionary pop up ) From the videos and what i read , understood that most of the features are same , unless the change in gimbals , display , few switches ... Even the features are same the price is not so close . May be that's the factor that made me to rethink . What i was looking ahead and collected was for X9D , Who ever i look for they all use X9D ( not coz of that any way ) Please Help me to chose the right one My mind have been doing the selection jumps between these XD and Q7 thing for a while , I can't allow that for a long NB : I still have a leaning towards X9D plus • Posts: 37 Threads: 12 Likes Received: 14 in 7 posts Likes Given: 11 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 0 Is this such a confusing question for you guys too ? Smaller screen and not as good resolution but other than that, you're only losing the sliders on the side which would only be used for rate adjustment and gimbal control on a larger AP craft. Range is same and has most of the features of it's big brother. I say go for the QX7 and use the money you saved on other cool stuff! Otherwise, the big radio is better. • Posts: 5,322 Threads: 673 Likes Received: 3,159 in 1,747 posts Likes Given: 2,032 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 139 (16-Apr-2017, 06:09 PM)RENOV8R Wrote: IMO QX7 is more than sufficient for mini quads. Thanks for your reply , As you mentioned AP , i think i should go for X9D , am an AP guy : but still there's a chance for me o change my decision , you know money makes decision • Posts: 2,410 Threads: 136 Likes Received: 1,790 in 1,052 posts Likes Given: 3,302 Joined: Jan 2017 Reputation: 50 I have been using the X7 for about a month now and have zero complaints. Does everything I need it to for racing/freestyle miniquads. Gimbal upgrades are in the works also, Im pretty sure. As well as mine came with a neat FC/Rx combo the XMPF3E Im going to use/test in my next build. I planned to fly mosty multirotors over fixed wings and AP rigs, so that was my deciding factor to help the start up budget Posts: 1,590 Threads: 89 Likes Received: 1,283 in 768 posts Likes Given: 1,274 Joined: Jan 2017 Reputation: 31 I think I voted wrong. When I saw it I thought "which one do I have, well the X9D so I should vote that one" then I realized it was more about is it necessary. All I can say to echo the above is that there are way more switches and knobs than I will ever need to fly my quads. I use 6 channels and the pull switch I have tell me different things depending on if I am flying a simulator or the vortex. I haven't gotten into using the telemetry yet but if I were making the decision I'd probably want to know that all that and the ability to program logic are the same and otherwise I'd probably go with the QX7. carl.vegas Current Quads: Operational: Diatone GT2 200 In need of repair: Bumble Bee, tehStein, Slightly modified Vortex 250 • Posts: 37 Threads: 12 Likes Received: 14 in 7 posts Likes Given: 11 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 0 • Posts: 1,590 Threads: 89 Likes Received: 1,283 in 768 posts Likes Given: 1,274 Joined: Jan 2017 Reputation: 31 Well if you need an "excuse" then grab a screenshot of the poll right now, and get the expensive one then blame it on majority rule carl.vegas Current Quads: Operational: Diatone GT2 200 In need of repair: Bumble Bee, tehStein, Slightly modified Vortex 250 • Posts: 37 Threads: 12 Likes Received: 14 in 7 posts Likes Given: 11 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 0 (18-Apr-2017, 06:25 PM)Carl.Vegas Wrote: Well if you need an "excuse" then grab a screenshot of the poll right now, and get the expensive one then blame it on majority rule I am not gonna blame anyone between : I can understand what you guys said but my desire for X9D was some how deep rooted in my mind as of now i will go with QX7 , But you know ....
