These are useless in most cases because the polyfuse doesn't trip quickly enough beofe components are already fried. You are better off making your own automotive bulb based smokestopper rather than using a polyfuse based one.
The VIFLY ShortSaver is the one to get because it uses a different type of electronic trip mechanism which is much faster than a polyfuse. Another company have also recently just released a similar smokestopper to the VIFFLY ShortSaver but I forget who now and what the product is called. I will try and find it.

20 I have one style “led” smoke stopper. And am curious about the Vifly, I know it has options regarding amp draw.. anyone know if it will work with a 1s setup?? I don’t know if any 1s smoke stoppers

118 The startup current draw on 1s quads is fairly low and may not trigger the shortsaver to trip.
The shortsaver even trips on my 9” Merica at default 1A settings. But is happy on 2A settings.
I just think of the shortsaver as an additional tool to prevent any damage due to a silly mistake I may have made in the wiring.
I still do continuity tests using a multimeter after soldering each component on a build.
