Rotor Riot Acquired by RedCat
#1
The letter of intent was leaked two years ago, but it only finally happened recently.

Honestly thought that DJI would get there first, since they've been using them as an advertising channel for the last 4 months. I guess they have more business sense.

Do RedCat actually do anything yet? I mean apart from leveraging synergies to empower end-users in the field of cloud-based blockchain-enabled machine-learning blah blah blah blah ...

The ground is for dead people.

As far as I can tell, no, Red Cat doesn't do anything but find ways to get investors to give them money.  That, and producing press releases Smile

saw this on yahoo finance.. scary. wonder what rr has to say :/

also, found this on Redcat's site:
April 2019 "Red Cat became a founding member of the First Person View (FPV) Freedom Coalition after the coalition’s official launch as a 501(c)(3) organization. As part of the coalition, Red Cat will continue advocating for airspace for recreational drone pilots and FPV operators, provide safety and education guidelines compliant with the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration), and integrate the FPV community into the regulatory framework as an FAA community-based organization (CBO)."

I am not shocked that they want this to happen to make money off it. What a bunch of douches.

I am still going to fly where I want with the best respect and awareness I can offer to abiding laws of coarse. I do not ever plan to attend a ama field. F it.

Yes, the FPVFC has told Redcat to remove that from their website when it was first posted because it is simply not true.  Yes, Jeff is a board member of the FPVFC, but Red Cat is not a founding member, nor have they donated any money to the FPV Freedom Coalition.  So far all they have done is cause concern and tarnish the image of the FPVFC.

Wait does that mean that RR will have to follow the FAA rules? They weren't doing so before, were they?
Signed by me :-)

Cash + stock? It's OTC how much can that stock be worth?? LOLLLL

This sounds like financial shenanigans to me. Someone's trying to get out out of their equity position and thinking they are being all sneaky about it.

[edit] Wait what ...

If you've not already seen the videos regarding the shadiness of RedCat, they are all in post #2 of the following thread...

https://intofpv.com/t-red-cat-announces-...rotor-riot

I wouldn't go anywhere near that Jeff Thompson guy with a 50ft barge pole. And to think he has some involvement with the FPV Freedom Coalition is just scary. His company stands for the exact opposite of "freedom". If FPVFC want to gain any credibility at all then they need to kick him out, especially if he's not even donating any money to the cause.

Yeah, sorry but the FPVFC had an image problem because of exactly the reasons mentioned above. Gotta clean some house there....

Deal
Here's the Deal

10" 6S FR10-G Long Range, 5" 6S Rooster, 5" 6S Badger, 5" 6S QAV-S, 5" 4S Badger, 5" 4S Phreakstyle Slam, 5" 6S Yema, 5" 4S Stark, 3" 4S Gecko, and a 3S 2.5" Tadpole, all of which are Crossfire.  Tinyhawk, Tinyhawk S, and a DJI Spark.  And projects on the bench....

$3.7m is not a lot especially when the bulk is being paid in worthless OTC stock (OTC meaning "over-the-counter," meaning no reputable broker wants anything to do with it). Also that is total value of equity and debt. I thought I'd read RR was levered up the wazoo. So really only a portion of that is equity value. Then you think about how much a recognized brand in this industry should be making in revenue on one year ... you'd think it would be well north of $3.7M so that purchase multiple implies something well south of 1x ... that's no bueno.

Frankly, this is a classic M&A disaster where peolpe think two wrongs (RR + Redcat) will make a right (RRedcat?!).
