Rotor Riot Gaming Controller
#1
It was really a strange one.
I saw an announcement from Rotor Riot that they are releasing a "Drone and Gaming Controller", I thought it was for playing simulators on phones and I was so excited about it, I asked them for one to review.
But it turns out it's just a generic controller you use for general gaming and nothing RC related LOL

They are charging $50 for it, what you do think?

Gaming console isn't really my domain, but i tried my best to give it a review anyway:

I thought it was a joke perhaps that they stole the Xbox controller design and near uselessness of what it's for, but apparently not. I'll be keeping my monies, thanks.

Read your review. I really don't see who this product is marketed for? Others already sells game controllers for Android and IPhone for about $20.

Given this, it might be a good idea for you to release an FPV specific controller.

Exactly, I am puzzled as well. People who know Rotor Riot are probably flying FPV and have little use of this controller since it's not simulator-friendly. People outside of FPV probably don't know RR, so are unlikely to pay for an overpriced controller.

I think your review was on the conservative side and probably far kinder than anything I'd have written about it Big Grin

This piece of tat is complete nonsense for an outfit like Rotor Riot to be promoting and selling. It's just a rip-off money spinner. I guess all the RR fanboys will be happy to pay $25 over the odds for the privilege of having a RR logo on their mass produced cheap plastic game controller.

Even Botgrinder's promotional video / review of it is completely bizarre to say the least. Some of the comments under the video are quite amusing though.
