Repairing Tiny Whoop
#1
Hey Everyone,

Finally had a bigger crash today with my tiny whoop (King Kong ET115). The goal is to repair it but I’m not sure I understand the wiring setup. I cracked the outer shell which has two pieces connected to it, I think one piece is a capacitor but I’m not sure. The other seems to be an LED light. Both connect to the ESC. I can’t get them off of the shell, see pictures. If anyone could help me:

A) figure out what these two pieces are and help me understand the wiring setup, and

B) give tips to getting them off the shell, that’d be great.

The two pictures are of the two pieces that are stuck to the cracked shell. Let me know if you need any more pictures or other info.

The black think in the first photo looks like a buzzer. The thing in the second photo is an RBG LED.

They look to be hot-glued in. If you don't need the old canopy then you can just cut it off bit by bit until you release those two items. If you need to retain the canopy intact then you will need to cut away the glue. A bit of heat may help to soften it a bit to make things easier but be careful not to melt any of the plastic items. Maybe cold cutting would be safer.

Yeah it looks like it's just for a buzzer and an LED..... Could you take a picture of the top of the cover... the reverse side of photo A.

BTW what exactly is wrong with the drone?
