Quad freaks out as soon as I try to go off the ground
#1
Hey guys..

I'm having a tough one. Normally when this happens, it's because my I had to remap motors or had props on wrong.

I've checked prop & motor orientation

I've checked that the motor mapping is correct

I've checked my FC orientation to make sure it's correct

What other scenarios can cause this issue where the quad flips out as soon as it leaves the ground?

Having the wrong setting in bf for props in or props out can also do it.

Motors tab- if you’re running props out, click the “motor direction is reversed” button. If you’re not, uncheck it.
Dangerous operations.

Disclaimer: I don’t know wtf I’m talking about.
I wish I could get the smell of burnt electronics out of my nose.

I keep feeling like this is it but I think my BF settings are right. Plz help

My FC points to the right rather than straight forward. I put 270 in the yaw field for FC orientation

Is that right?

Thx!

Is the FC to ESC board a ribbon, in which case when you rotated the FC board you likely rotated the ESC board, so you have two things going on at once:-

1. FC Gyro/Accelerometer direction
2. Motor order.

betaflight configurator, move the quad and check the animation in the status tab.
correct if theres a fault like you allready tried and compare it again to the animation.

remove the props, add a lipo, go into betaflight motortab. choose the two options and go throw both motor order and motor direction - as bad raven mentioned, rotation the whole stack will gibe a need to reorder the motors next to the fc orientation. reorder the motors might be the issue.
