But I can't see any reason to do it flying FPV. Am I missing something ? Is there another reason ? Nope. No reason whatsoever unless you are trying to add some style and pizzazz. The reason I keep different colours front and back is in case I ever decide to do some LOS flying, so it gives me immediate options without having to pre-plan. Posts: 909 Threads: 59 Likes Received: 543 in 318 posts Likes Given: 730 Joined: Nov 2018 Reputation: 26 Kind of what I thought. But after seeing Johns post about breaking more CCW props I was just thinking that it would be easier and cheaper to just keep one color on hand. I have only used 1 color and just wanted to know if I was missing something. Plus, I also feel it looks neat! All the cool kids are doing it! SoCal Kaity :D OMG, no one told me it would be this much fun! Once I'm a little better, matched props all around, hehe. Deal Here's the Deal
10" 6S FR10-G Long Range, 5" 6S Rooster, 5" 6S Badger, 5" 6S QAV-S, 5" 4S Badger, 5" 4S Phreakstyle Slam, 5" 6S Yema, 5" 4S Stark, 3" 4S Gecko, and a 3S 2.5" Tadpole, all of which are Crossfire. Tinyhawk, Tinyhawk S, and a DJI Spark. And projects on the bench.... New shiny props are just for pics Posts: 909 Threads: 59 Likes Received: 543 in 318 posts Likes Given: 730 Joined: Nov 2018 Reputation: 26 Kaity I see the Lumenier V2's on your Japulara. I just got some in for my Tyro79 and will be trying them soon. But I have found that the Firefly 2 really affects the handling, kind of hard to make tight turns with the added momentum of the extra weight. I also just got a Caddix turtle that I will be modding my frame for. The lens is to big for the narrow uprights. I have been really thinking about wanting an HD camera. With the R9 RX, it seems like this would be a great craft for catching HD vid, but I am afraid of upsetting it. Might get a Caddix Turtle or Split 2S for the Japalura. I have had the 3" out past 1500 meters now...without a bigger pack, it is pretty limited on flight time. What are you getting for times on a pack? SoCal Kaity :D OMG, no one told me it would be this much fun! With the firefly2 on it, I am getting about 3.5-4 minutes with a 4S 650mah, fairly mild flying try to get good footage and compare jello with different props. And if I use a 3S 850mah ( both about 80 grams ) I get about 5-5.5 minutes flying the same way. AUW 306 grams. I was thinking about switch to larger capacity 3S in the quest for longer range flying. Thanks for sharing your experience Scott! SoCal Kaity :D OMG, no one told me it would be this much fun! Often we snap props in crashes, and the broken pieces just disappeared and buried. Obviously this is not good for environmental reasons |
