There is also no damage on the drone self. The drone also never showed up in device manager , so it could also not connect to betaflight. And I tought that wouldn't be a problem but I really need to connenct it now... So can anyone help me out? • Posts: 6,114 Threads: 172 Likes Received: 2,287 in 1,834 posts Likes Given: 4,737 Joined: Feb 2019 Reputation: 100 Try another cable at first, it needs zo be a data capable cable. • Posts: 963 Threads: 72 Likes Received: 341 in 255 posts Likes Given: 157 Joined: Dec 2021 Reputation: 19 When you do plug the USB in (only USB), what FC board lights do you get? Seems like you had a habit of smashing into the wall. The first time your goggle went black. Did you ever fixed that? I assume you did since you just smashed into the wall again. So how did you fix it? Or did you flight line of sight? You said this time you smashed into the wall and there is no damage to the drone. The flight controller is part of the drone. Now you cannot connect to your computer. Did you connect to the computer before hitting the wall? If you did connect to the computer before hitting the wall you need to look at the flight controller with a magnifying glass to see if you can find any other damage. Maybe the USB receptacle is knocked off? Maybe some other components got knocked off. On your Meteor65 Pro you should have two circuit boards. The bigger one with all the motor plugs is your flight controller. If you cannot connect to Betaflight you did something to the board with your crashes. • Posts: 39 Threads: 4 Likes Received: 4 in 4 posts Likes Given: 13 Joined: Mar 2024 Reputation: 0 (20-Apr-2024, 07:37 PM)SeismicCWave Wrote: I just read your other posts on other thread. Hello I could also not connect to betaflight before the crash... I fixed the problemen with the black screen in my goggles the plug to connect my camera to the VTX broke, but now I had a new crash and now l can't bind the drone but the lights are working like they did before. I guess that's fpv ? • Posts: 5,912 Threads: 47 Likes Received: 2,787 in 2,249 posts Likes Given: 7,701 Joined: Jul 2019 Reputation: 97 21-Apr-2024, 10:16 AM (This post was last modified: 21-Apr-2024, 10:19 AM by iFly4rotors.) Hi NewToFPV, Ok, I am going out on a limb here, but, are you flying in the house and is the quad in ACRO Fly Mode. If you answer YES, to both questions. Just maybe, you might consider flying in ANGLE Fly Mode. Since you are crashing into the walls, I am will to bet that the quad is in ACRO mode, you give it some forward motion, let the right stick recenter, but the quad keeps flying, right into the first wall or other object that it comes to. ANGLE mode helped keep me from crashing into the walls and ceiling. You do NOT have to fly in ACRO mode all the time. Each fly mode has a place and this just might be one of them. When you get it flying again, put it in ANGLE mode and give it a try. Forget all of that "Only Fly Acro Mode" stuff. Sometimes, you really need to fly in ANGLE mode. At this point, you just need to be able to fly without crashing into something in the first 3 seconds. The problem with ACRO mode is that there is no "Auto Leveling" so when the right stick is recentered after take off, the quad just keeps flying forward at the steepest angle achieved when pushing the right stick forward. Yeah, recentering does NOTHING. Pulling the right stick back will reduce the forward angle, but not necessarily to a level position. Especially when indoors and especially when first learning, you don't need the quad zooming off and you not being able to get it under control before it hits a wall. So, when you can get it connected to Betaflight, then be sure to set up ANGLE mode since it is NOT set up by default. IF you have a switch set up, you can assign it to a switch. Otherwise, set it up exactly like the ARM feature is set up. (You can change this later). So, you can't connect to Betaflight. Hmm. Yeah, you tried a few different "DATA" cables (a charging cable will NOT work) and still can not get a connection...even with the main battery plugged in. Correct? Well, the USB connector on the FC could be loose or at least it might be disconnected. Yeah, you might need to take the canopy off. If the USB is solid, you have the correct data cable, and it still will not connect, then you might have bigger issues. There is another way to connect to Betaflight, but I would need to see if I can find it. Later, iFly Hello, Thank you very much for your response, I do fly indoors in ANGLE and outside in ACRO flying the drone is already going pretty well, I tried several USB cables. None work, I am considering buying a new flight controller.... Because I am pretty sure that is where the problem lies I had problems with the flight controller ever since I received the drone. Thank you everyone very much for the help. My guess is that you do not have the needed drivers installed. When Betaflight first opens up, there is a section called "Hardware". There are links there to download the drivers. Regards There in lies your problem. You need to figure out how to connect your FC to the computer first. You may be trying different USB cable but if all the cables your tried are from some package deal that came with only a charge cable instead of data cable you will not be able to connect. I found that out the hard way. So to test you need to find a cable that you can definitely connect something to your computer before knocking you head against the wall and not the quad. BTW FPV does not have to mean that you crash into walls all the time. That's just your style of flying. You can fly conservative or aggressive depending on your personality and skills. Of course if you try to run before learning to walk then..........
