Edit Reason: added link ) I've been flying this 4" martian 3 (1st mini quad) for about 1.5 months now and this is my first session with camera angle of about 40º and some PID "tuning". If you can stay awake and manage to see something wrong, unsafe, or could be improved in any way I would really appreciate if you would let me know. Flying: Talon 6S 6" 2407s 381g no bat, Martian 3, 5" 2205s sooo heavy + gopro session 5 573g AUW, Aurora 5" 2205s 280g no bat, Druckbaer 3" 1404s 172g AUW 3S 550, BQE Megapixel 2.5" 1107s 139g AUW 3S 550, BabyHawk R 2.5" 164g AUW 3S 550 (stock except microeagle, CRSF, 2.5" arms) and maybe 3 more, for now... If that's where you can get after 1 1/2 months, then I'd say you're a natural at flying a quad. • Posts: 1,590 Threads: 89 Likes Received: 1,283 in 768 posts Likes Given: 1,274 Joined: Jan 2017 Reputation: 31 20-Aug-2017, 10:58 AM (This post was last modified: 20-Aug-2017, 10:59 AM by Carl.Vegas.) So here are the problems I see.... First off the tune is definitely too good... you need to at least have some prop wash or oscillations in there so that those of us who battle tune can feel better Next, you're flying too low! If other people at your experience level see that you have that good of throttle control they'll be jealous and wish they could do it too... And finally the smoothness of the way you fly is far too consistent for 1 and a half months... you're going to need to wait at least another month or so before you start flying that smooth... ... ... lol No, JK... actually awesome work! In fact it was so good that I had to go back to a video of my own from a month and a half of experience to see if I was anywhere near as good and I can't come anywhere close to you on the 3 things mentioned above. If I were to add anything it would be music. Great work at getting going! keep it up!!! carl.vegas Current Quads: Operational: Diatone GT2 200 In need of repair: Bumble Bee, tehStein, Slightly modified Vortex 250 Posts: 122 Threads: 6 Likes Received: 77 in 48 posts Likes Given: 93 Joined: Aug 2017 Reputation: 4 Wow, thanks guys! I think sims are the cause though. It might sound silly but I've spent hundreds of hours (600?) playing all the Battlefield games. I mostly just flew the helicopters pretending to be airwolf instead of helping my team, trying to fly 6' off the ground everywhere and scaring my passengers...I've also flown a few pure helicopter sims again pretending to be airwolf. Once I got my Taranis I went through every single bit of the Liftoff training and other sims too, watched on youtube how-to's on all the boring basics and then tried it in the sims.
