The other day I bought a Betafpv X-knight 4 inch toothpick quadcopter(v3 fc), It has an F4 flight controller and came with an Sbus frsky receiver, I replaced it with an fs a8s as I have an fs-i6X transmitter and I haven't had any luck getting any receiver input.
I think Ive tried everything I found recommended online, like switching from Sbus to Ibus on both transmitter and receiver, tried adjusting several betaflight settings, Ive triple checked its bound correctly, Ive tried several firmware versions, tried all the various serial ports, I even tried Ibus from my Ia6b receiver but no luck. I'm at a loss of how to troubleshoot further or solve this problem so I figured I'd ask here to see if anybody has any advice.
The receiver has power properly connected, and the Sbus/Ibus wire is connected to the Sbus pin, which says its inverted rx2, should i try moving the wire to rx2 and trying Ibus from there? from the betaflight command line i could set serialrx_inverted to on or off, but neither setting allowed me to see any input.
here is my betaflight backup dump if that helps:
