0 So I was tuning a fairly new built quad today, speedybee f7 v3 stack with Xing e pro 2207 1800kv and was using the cnhl 100c 1300mah batteries. Got everything tuned in at it was flying great. Way better than default. Not that the default was bad either though. So I had just bought 2x tattu batteries 150c 1200mah and when I go full throttle you can hear a loud snapping, cracking noise idk it’s hard to explain. Idk if the c rating is pushing to many amps and it’s to much, or what’s going on. It works fine with the 100c rated CNHL batteries. I was expecting these to run better which anything under full throttle like 3/4throttle it does it runs great. Sound was pretty loud. Almost like a cracking noise or popping fluttering noise. Any ideas as to what’s going on with it and what can I do ? Would the c rating be too high for my setup or is there maybe something in the tuning I did wrong ?

100 08-Oct-2023, 02:05 AM (This post was last modified: 08-Oct-2023, 02:13 AM by hugnosed_bat.) do you have a capacitor attached?
what cpu load do you get by running "tasks" in the cli?
did you change the filters?
the tattus might have provide more power and theres a missmatch somewhere.
do you get that cracking sound on the default tune and filters either on that 1200mah tattu lipos?
if its not a general issue with the tune, tpa feature could help, increase the gain and adjust the breakpoint.

0 I have the cap that came with the stack, it’s a 35v 1000uf. I did play with the filters watching Chris rossers videos. Got the tune sounding great and flying great with CNHL batteries. The tattu one flies just good but seems like I’m getting a lot more power with it. I haven’t tried the tattu batteries at default, I will in the morning. My pwm are set to low 28k to high by rpm. 16 sec motor timing and 40 ramp up. Tasks in the cli are at 24.7% total. I’m going to try new props these are slightly used I meant they’re not bent bad or anything but worth a try. Noise is hard to explain without video and sound. I’ve been trying find a video of someone that maybe have same type noise but haven’t had any luck. Ya know that noise when your props spin. And as you increase throttle is more rapid and sharper. And then when I hit max throttle you can hear the props almost snapping.

3 Sounds like what we used to call "prop flutter" when running some thin props on 6S. Very distinctive sound, almost ringing... Anyway, what props are you running?
fwiw, prop flutter = the tips curling/bending at full throttle
