No receiver input in betaflight
#16
OK, I can see that image now, but it is just showing the connections to the FC. We will need to be able to see the connections on both ends (including on the receiver) so we can trace the wires from the receiver to the FC to ensure that it has been wired up correctly.

So is the RX pad on the receiver wired to the TX pad on the FC, and is the TX pad on the receiver wired to the RX pad on the FC, or do you have TX going to TX and RX going to RX? It needs to be the former. Without photos of both ends of the wires it's impossible for us to be able to verify that.

A few additional things to try / check:
  1. The soldering doesn't look particularly great. Re-do all the soldering connections to those pads it making sure to use leaded solder with plenty of flux and an iron set to at least 350°C.
  2. Use a multimeter in continuity mode to make sure you don't have a short circuit between any two of the RX, TX, 5V or GND pads.
  3. Try wiring the receiver to a different UART.
If none of the above works, you might have a faulty receiver.
