New stuff and no idea how to use it :)
#1
I have just got my Source Two build to a point where I was happy to power it on with just the motors esc, flight controller and receiver connected.

Don't have a smoke buster but went all over it with my multimeter and a 20x magnifier. Looks ok, just do it.

Do de do, doo dee doo. Coooooool.

Crossfire receiver is flashing away, lights  on FC look ok, no puffs of smoke or things going bang. Awesome, lets lets turn on the new radio.

Welcome to Open TX, throttle high, switch warning, press any key to skip. Pressed a key and all was good except...

Damn I remember this in December when I first got my Spektrum.

I laughed. I have no idea how to use this thing. Firmware stuff, nothing. I mean nothing. I have an idea of what I want it to do but no. I am at the beginning again.

Guess the initial teat flight of Brian (that's my new quad) wont be today lol.

Time start reading Smile

Yeah, the OpenTX transmitters are like you're flying with a handheld computer Big Grin Once you start to learn some of their capabilities you will realise how powerful they are from a functional point of view compared to the Spektrums.

And I really love the chunky boxy look and feel of the old skool X9D+ styling.

Good luck on your first flight with it Cool

Hey UJ!  That made me laugh - thanks!

I think you just coined a new phrase for "maiden flight" - in fact I think I'll use it for mine from now on! Big Grin

Funny stuff.....and I've felt your pain. Big Grin

Oh, and guess what!?!  If you don't use the new found skills for a year or so....you get to relive the dazed and confused feelings all over again.

Keep havin' fun.
