How is it that I've been stuck watching videos about Mr Steele almost non-stop for 2 or 3 days now lol... First I started watching him build a van... like... a flipping van! Why was I even watching that (and still waiting for the 5th episode to come out today BTW)... I am shocked that I've been entertained by it. Then there is all the drama about him leaving rotor riot... and something called "hammer gate"?... oh goodlord how does that even matter... so some people did some stupid stuff... I just sat for 80 minutes watching steel re-record a mellowed down version of him talking about how things didn't work out for him while Alex obsessed over the mistake of letting interviewees have final approval lol... OMG am I entertained... but WTF have I been watching (F stands for frig by the way) Anybody else watching this stuff? carl.vegas Current Quads: Operational: Diatone GT2 200 In need of repair: Bumble Bee, tehStein, Slightly modified Vortex 250 • Posts: 1,149 Threads: 50 Likes Received: 704 in 450 posts Likes Given: 1,189 Joined: Sep 2016 Reputation: 30 I watch his flight videos from time to time but not always enjoy them tbh - too rough for my taste, and if not rough, then too boring like that salt lake video for example... I prefer drib and skitzo stuff a lot more. And sometimes he behaves like a little kid, or like on drugs, or both... not my type. However, i did not follow up on what "happened" so might check those vids later. • Posts: 5,315 Threads: 672 Likes Received: 3,155 in 1,743 posts Likes Given: 2,030 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 139 Yea, it's all about business and money in the end of the day. These guys are doing it for a living it's inevitable to have conflicts. Some very interesting insight into how things work in this industry nonetheless • Posts: 1,590 Threads: 89 Likes Received: 1,283 in 768 posts Likes Given: 1,274 Joined: Jan 2017 Reputation: 31 20-Aug-2017, 02:06 PM (This post was last modified: 20-Aug-2017, 02:07 PM by Carl.Vegas.) In summary for anyone who is wondering: Steele wasn't making much money in Rotor Riot so he didn't collect money really, so he started doing his own stuff... this caused a little bit of a conflict of attention and as a result they're parting ways. The rest of the details are the entertaining drama! As for flying style, I am pretty aggressive in my flying style as well and I like sort of thing myself but I haven't really been watching his videos for a while. This has caused me to look at some of the ones I've missed. carl.vegas Current Quads: Operational: Diatone GT2 200 In need of repair: Bumble Bee, tehStein, Slightly modified Vortex 250 • Posts: 5,315 Threads: 672 Likes Received: 3,155 in 1,743 posts Likes Given: 2,030 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 139 Maybe the separation is a good thing, now we get to see 2 channels of hopefully better content instead of just one, who knows? Well that's kinda already what it was though, but maybe this will help make both channels better carl.vegas Current Quads: Operational: Diatone GT2 200 In need of repair: Bumble Bee, tehStein, Slightly modified Vortex 250 • Posts: 100 Threads: 4 Likes Received: 86 in 55 posts Likes Given: 89 Joined: Jun 2017 Reputation: 5 I've been watching Steele's videos for a while now, and started watching RR because he was in it. Now that he has left, I don't really enjoy RR... I think the separation is a good thing for both channels, it gives Steele more time to focus on making his own content (which i personally enjoy), and of course RR can focus on their content too.
