New Fatshark module - FuriousFPV True-D X !
#1
FuriousFPV announced today on their Facebook page:

Quote:After 3 years of developing the well-trusted True-D diversity module, FuriousFPV steps up the game in 2019 with an all new True-D X module with completely new hardware and the new antenna switching technology. It opens up opportunities to add more features to the True-D X where the existing True-D has reached the limit of hardware capability. More details are coming soon

Not going to be repetitive, see here for more info:

Looks interesting.

This sort of makes sense now. I always wondered what their business logic was with manufacturing and selling the new dedicated Achilles firmware equipped module (HERE) alongside their original True-D module because they were effectively selling two competing products, one of which wasn't all their own work and was cheaper (with possibly arguably better firmware). Knowing how good the Achilles firmware is, that must have been hitting sales of their own more expensive True-D modules.

I guess they will look to phase out the current True-D once the "X" version hits the shelves, and with this new "X" version they will have stepped up the game so that their True-D "X" module will now be one more rung up the ladder from the Achilles module in terms of hardware, which means people will now likely have some justification for buying the more expensive True-D "X" module over their Achilles equipped one.
