When I first looked at them, I thought they were very simple and might be too easy. A lot of them are quite difficult actually, teaches you to fly sideways and hold your line. • Posts: 634 Threads: 56 Likes Received: 335 in 196 posts Likes Given: 183 Joined: Mar 2016 Reputation: 15 02-May-2017, 11:30 PM (This post was last modified: 02-May-2017, 11:30 PM by Grisha0.) as im not compatible with track flight (can't remember that i need to follow the same path x times and not to change it) is there any detailed info on what should be the distance between the gates etc? so the tracks are more comparable ? at some point i need to start learning to fly in the path All the best Grzesiek (Grisha/ Greg) Curently flyable: Nox 5, Minimalist 112 Bench / in progres: fixing Nox 3, Scrap thinking about building: 450 Posts: 328 Threads: 76 Likes Received: 191 in 85 posts Likes Given: 39 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 16 (02-May-2017, 11:30 PM)Grisha0 Wrote: as im not compatible with track flight (can't remember that i need to follow the same path x times and not to change it) is there any detailed info on what should be the distance between the gates etc? so the tracks are more comparable ? at some point i need to start learning to fly in the path Hey.. The track layouts are in multigp web site. The instructions are here: http://www.multigp.com/page/MultiGPUnive...rialTracks. They are very easy to build, but you need 5 gates. There's many posts online on how to make your own multigp gates. • Posts: 1,590 Threads: 89 Likes Received: 1,283 in 768 posts Likes Given: 1,274 Joined: Jan 2017 Reputation: 31 carl.vegas Current Quads: Operational: Diatone GT2 200 In need of repair: Bumble Bee, tehStein, Slightly modified Vortex 250 • Posts: 1,149 Threads: 50 Likes Received: 704 in 450 posts Likes Given: 1,189 Joined: Sep 2016 Reputation: 30 04-May-2017, 03:58 AM (This post was last modified: 04-May-2017, 04:00 AM by fftunes.) I hoped the gates really only look that small, but... • Racing gates must be standard issue MultiGP Racing Gates or another gate with a 5’x5’ square opening. ... i fear that's not my thing, i think i'd prefer them 5x5 meters Posts: 328 Threads: 76 Likes Received: 191 in 85 posts Likes Given: 39 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 16 Our gates are not 5x5 it's even smaller. Sometimes you've got to slow down, to go fast. That's some serious flying by the way! Well done! There are a couple really tough courses there. I am like "nope this isn't happening"... They seem almost impossible, even the experienced guys at the field I fly at rarely go multiple laps through them. They say smaller gates are good practice... then if you get to flying with bigger gates: 5x5 then they'll seem easy... I say: it sounds like an excuse to get even more pissed off if you ask me :p Maybe if you used a 4 inch? it's be better? It's much easier to use 5x5 gates. And I guess tilt the camera down at the beginning until you get used to the track. I find for track flying you need to get that muscle memory working. Im used to looking at the ground a lot but I dont mind yet... Ill try more agressive angles again later after ive gained more precision. carl.vegas Current Quads: Operational: Diatone GT2 200 In need of repair: Bumble Bee, tehStein, Slightly modified Vortex 250 • Posts: 2,410 Threads: 136 Likes Received: 1,790 in 1,052 posts Likes Given: 3,302 Joined: Jan 2017 Reputation: 50 I have heard experienced racecar drivers say It takes approximately 200 practice laps to completely "learn" a course/track. Let alone flying one I can't wait to try personally. |
