Lux V2 recalibrates during flight
#1
I have a very persistent issue. I'm just flying around normally and then boom, the FC recals. I hear two esc beeps after that. The video feed never drops. My setup: Aikon SEFM30a (version 3), DYS Fire motors, and a Lux V2. Please help! Cry

how is your FC powered? directly from lipo or from PDB 5V?
I would check the power first, make sure soldering is solid and not loose/cold solder joint

I have checked the power. All wiring is good, and the RX is not shorting out. Video feed doesn't drop. The blackbox of the issue is below. FC/ESC reboot happens at 00:15.466. *EDIT* I can't seem to post this type of file as an attachment here. Here's a link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B66UWHM...sp=sharing

What makes you think that there was a flight controller reboot at 0:15.466?

If there was, your log would be truncated at that point. Instead, it carries on logging. If you hear the ESCs beep twice with a low and then a high beep, then the ESCs somehow disarmed and then re-armed.

I notice also that you are running Betaflight 3.1.2. The latest release is 3.1.6 and there are quite a few fixes between your version and the current one.

I'd suggest you flash the latest version and set things up again.

Running BF3.1.6 the same thing happens.

Can you tell us a bit more about exactly what happens and what you are doing when it does?

It is a fairly new build or have you been flying it for a while? When this problem happens, what does the quad do? Does it lose control and spin out of control or does it just drop straight down like it would if the batteries in your radio suddenly died? Has it ever flown without this problem? If it did, have you changed anything? If you have any video, that would really help as well.

Lots of questions I know, but without more clues, I'm only able to make guesses in the dark.

So my quad with Lux v2 fc just started having a problem like this. When i do a roll it loses control and spins wildly to the ground. This happens in both acro and horizon mode, it flies completely normal until i go inverted and then i lose all control and it goes into a death spin every time.

It was flying wonderfully for about 20 packs until my battery strap broke midflight and i had an epic crash.

I have connected to betaflight config and blheli config without issue. RC rates are not passing 2000.

Any ideas? Dead accelerometer?

It's not the accelerometer as the accelerometer is not used in acro mode. Also, if the accelerometer was dead, the flight controller would not even start up, it would just sit there flashing an error code. There could be an intermittent fault on the IMU, but I've never seen them fail that way before.

As there is a microSD card slot on your Lux V2, record a black box log when this happens and post it. There should be some clues in the log.

Normally, this kind of thing is caused by your minimum throttle being too low and a motor stopping when you cut the throttle as you go inverted, but if it was flying OK before your epic crash then unless you changed something, the settings should still be OK.

Maybe the crash damaged a motor or an ESC?
