So some months ago I bought a strongbox to storage my LiPos. I'm happy so far and much more calm about my LiPos burning my house... but after some weeks when I open the strongbox it smells acid, like wound alcohol... is this a normal thing?

PS: strongbox is not fully sealed, I followed SnowLeopard recommendations (https://intofpv.com/t-another-marathon-b...#pid113704)

It is probably just the sweet smell of the Lithium chemicals you can smell. It's normal and my ammo boxes smell the same. You can sometimes notice the same smell when charging / discharging LiPos.

a damaged cell, an opened one does give such sweet-chemical smell. at least there isnt risk for any fire from that particular fully damged cell if it smells like that. it smells intense.

i might dont know that regular taste from store in an alloy box, but i would check each pack if i recognize any irregular taste.

Don't taste the Lipos, they aren't good for you.
