Trying to get my grandfathers quad he bought from a guy to connect to a FS=iA6 transmitter and the data display on the KK 2.1.5 flight controller wont show anything. Is this a problem with the board and my grandpa got scammed, so I should just get a new flight controller? Or is it because I am doing something wrong? 

Added a picture at the bottom.

That is a really old / obscure flight controller and I can almost guarantee that no-one this forum knows anything about them. The best advice I can offer you is to try (re)flashing the latest firmware to it.

Oscar appears to have an old article about it from way back in 2013 at the link below. That was 5 years before I even got into the FPV hobby, so that is how old the KK2.1.5 flight controller is.
