JHEMCU GF16 F405 Flight Controller
#1
Hello,

I would like to buy this FC, but I already have an ESC board with the same tito 10-pin connector.

I sent an email to JHEMCU asking for the pinout of the connector that connects the FC board with the ESC board but i heve got no response.

Does anyone have the pinout of the 10-pin connector?

Esc board (a GOKU 16x16 35 A board) has the following pinout:

Led, Current, GND, GND, VCC
M4, M3, M2, M1, VCC

the Led pin is the font left one with the board in the normal position, looking from behind.

Thank you.

The pinouts for the FC are in the product listing here:

Just confirm with the images if you have the same FC.

I believe the OP means the pinout for the 10-pin header on the surface of the JHEMCU GF16 FC that mates to a corresponding header socket on the ESC board when they are stacked together (see image below). I don't see a pinout for that published anywhere. It also looks like they are using a BGA MCU on that board so trying to get someone who already owns one of those FC's to trace the header pins back to the MCU is going to be out of the question.

@OP - Unfortunately there are no standards for this type of connection setup between stack boards so the likelihood of the JHEMCU pinout matching the one used on the Flywoo FC's is remote. For starters the JHEMCU ESC that normally mates to that FC doesn't have any LEDs on the ESC board, so pin 1 isn't going to be for the LED control. I have a GEPRC Stable F411 stack with the same type of mating header pins between the boards which GEPRC do publish the pinout for, but it doesn't match the pinout order of your Flywoo ESC.

Thanks @SnowLeopardFPV

My hope was to be able to directly connect a GF16 to a 35A Flywoo esc board Smile

I will have to cut the socket pins on the FC board and use wires to connect the two boards.

For those wondering why not use a Flywoo FC board: I have received three (F405) and they all have a problem. In the first one the gyro chip stopped working or being reachable by the MCU. The second one stopped booting properly after a while. The third one, after soldering all the add-ons (GPS, buzer, camera, vtx, ... ) turned out to have a damaged BEC, so it works perfectly when powered by USB but does not turn on when powered by battery (I'll add an external BEC)

I suppose Flywoo tests the drones when it builds them. I bought a couple of them and like them very much. But the quality check on the single board seems to me to be not so good.

So, let's try the GF16!

Hi sdellava,

I was looking for exactly the same info as you and this thread came up in my search. I also contacted JHEMCU and did not get a response. Flywoo was very helpful, and they gave me the pins as you have already found. I have just pinned out the GF16 with a multimeter and fortunately got the same pinout as the Flywoo. I checked the continuity between each of the pads on the GF16 and the pins on the header. It appears they a following the same standard. I can also confirm that the LED pin is connected to Pin 1 even though their ESC does not have this feature.

Please check and confirm for yourself but it appears to be pin for pin compatible.
Cheers.
Phil
