101 My OSD will sometimes not show up on power up. Typically almost always on first power up. Once it shows up though, it seems to show up again if I replace lipos quickly. Already tried re-uploading the font file.
Is this a sign of a failing OSD chip?

10 Hmm, not the same but similair issue. When I do punch outs I get flickers/blinking OSD with my brand new diatone F405 MKII. The rest of the picture is crystal clear. Power issue or failing OSD chip? I have a 35V 1000uF cap installed on the ESC power pads

101 Ok thanks voodoo! I will look for a solder blob. My soldering skills leave much to be desired.
Ansreas, for me, it's just whether the OSD decides to turn on when I plug in. If it's on, then it works great for as long as the lipo is plugged. Encouragingly, went out this morning and the OSD came on just fine even on the first pack. No issues at all across 7 packs. FPV ... the sometimes cruel sometimes giving mistress lol.

101 Ah ... is that why VTX's typically have camera power outs? I always power my camera through the FC but that's entirely to keep the wiring clean (instead of a single video wire to the FC and + / - wires to the VTX).
