I have a 3" Armattan Japalura that's really fun to fly. I set the camera angle very low, which makes it possible (just barely) for me to manage flying it around my yard. I have always wished I could capture some video with better quality than what I get in the goggles. A few days ago I bought an Insta360 Go camera and mounted it on the quad:
The camera along with the mount adds 40 grams to the total weight. I can definitely notice the added weight when flying, but the quad still performs OK. The video quality is great, and the excellent stabilization makes my flying look a lot smoother than it really is. Here's a flight I made with the camera pointing toward the rear of the quad:
The video quality was much better before YouTube mangled it, but we all know about that. Here's a more conventional flight with the camera facing forward:
If you're looking for good HD video from a small craft like the Japalura, this seems like a good solution.
