how to use gopro lipo-in with a bec?

Question 
i deceased a gopro hero3, it was powered over mini usb. the miniusb in broke out in a crash. the cam works fine with the lipo. 

i like to power it over a adjustable bec at the lipo conection at 4v
or does anyone know another option to solder to the 5v circuit?



the battery has +T-, what should i do with the T? what is it for on a battery?

Those LiPos have a built in Protection Circuit Module (PCM) to prevent over charging or over-discharging of the LiPo. The "T" connection means "Thermistor" and is for external monitoring of the LiPo temperature. I guess the GoPro must have some circuitry that can detect if the LiPo is overheating and then cut off power to the camera as a safety measure in that scenario. You shouldn't need to wire up the "T" connection. It's usually optional.

Is this to save battery weight? I ask because my AC will shoot video much longer than my drone can fly. BTW my AC is a Campark X30.
